I also find that the less water you use the easier it is to heat it up. So dont use too much water if your heat source is weak, also if you have a very hot source then you might wana use more water. I got 4 females out of 8 seeds germinated. Pretty normal ratio.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | stelow is righ but i think that if you can get em to sink and have the temp dialed in then the seeds will absorb water a lot faster and pop faster. This is especially true for some seeds that have thick ass shells. I know nothing about the oxygen part, as far as i know the seedling gets all its energy from the cotys until it develops a few set of real leafs.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think temps play a part in determining..that could be natures way also. and so many people say too much heat promotes hermies during the early seedling stages on up blah blah. im on scooby snacks hash..just bubble hash..but I keep hearing shaggy ![]() you guys are absolutely right about shells. I had seeds take over 3 weeks. I kinda conidered some duds but the seeds were on the pricey side and I stayed determined and they eneded up popping and producing some of my best plants yet and Ive been growing for 10 years Last edited by shrubz; 12-05-2008 at 07:10 PM..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I keep them in a cup of water and control the temperature until they pop. High 70s in temp works well for me. 18/19 seeds popped on my grow....and the one that didn't, I think I just gave up on it too early (was a freebie seed).
