Hey,
I used the paper towel method to germ some seeds. Usually I put the paper towels in sandwich bag to keep them from drying out....i forgot...

So 4 days later I check them and they're bone dry. None have sprouted. I re-wet them and put them in baggies.

Am I screwed? The germination area was about 78F and dry.

I think as long as they didn't sprout you're ok. If they had sprouted and dried up they would most likely die.

I've had beans using the towel method and let it dry out and just did what you did (re-wet) and they sprouted just fine.

try giving them a little squeeze.. if they break and squish then they're dead...
4 days later is a little long... but i guess it depends how long there was still some moisture.. If the moisture dried quickly then you have a higher chance of some surviving seeds..

give them the squeeze test and see if theres any viable seeds... But then again if you have them back in sprouting then just keep checking on them every 24 hrs or so for sprouts..

yea dude if it was enough moisture to start the germ process you might be out of luck but since they haven't popped you might as well give it a try

anyway the seeds are moist as the buds grow and dry. if there is not a sign of one crack they should be good.

FYI - Things worked out well. All seeds sprouted. 2 never broke ground after being planted though

The rest are 3 weeks old and doing fine.
