![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah i want to switch to a powder. mainly due to my laziness. i just dip the cutting in the jar, but with the liquid stuff it makes it spoil really fast. i called botanicare and asked about this, they basically told me there cloning solution is sugar and water. probably a molasses derivative judging by the smell.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I used Schultz's rooting hormone (powder) and had good results - 66% my first time ever cloning, and 100% (15/15) my 2nd go at it. Got it from Home Depot for under $5

![]() | i used some rooting hormone for one of my friends seed all 12 seeds popped we added it straight on the seeds before we put them in the ground 2 days later they stared to break the surface, another one of my friends used the exact same set up same bag of seeds too but no rooting hormone and only 2 of 12 popped up, we just used a cheap plastic seed started trays from lowes it also worked on my morning glory seeds which said it took 7-21 days one popped on the third day the other on the fourth day, rooting hormone is great stuff for seeds

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I wouldn't necessarily link the speed of germination with the use of the rooting hormone. Live seeds can sprout in 24-48 hours with no rooting hormone. Clones on the other hand. Certain strains don't clone as well as others. Some likely won't clone without rooting hormone. It's not like tomato cuttings. Cannabis being semi hardwood is a little harder to take a cutting with water only. You definitely won't have as high of a survival rate if you don't use hormone on cuttings. ![]()

![]() | i just got some rooting hormone, i am trying funky shit with it too. i forgot to get some on the roots when i was transplanting my sacred tobacco/rustica, and i did break some little roots when i transplanted (less than 10%), so i put some rooting hormone powder near the plants and watered it in. i'm not sure how well the water drove it in since the hormone is not water soluble, but the plants are standing up straight now, they were getting droopy before i did it. i'm trying the thing with the rooting hormone on a seed now, waiting for it to come up. it's these pea sized tomatoes that i've been having trouble with. they were called "tiny sugar lumps" but i think it's just wild tomatoes. i had one growing in a liquor bottle but a mushroom came up, then that mushroom stretched and made spores, and made a new mushroom, and eventually it killed my tomato. well we'll see.. i went ahead and dumped some rooting hormone on that plant lol just trying all kinds of crazy shit. i've gotta figure out what i need to clone, cuz there are no bud plants around here
