if you want a more natural method, try powerderd seaweed at a low dose next time. it's proven time and time over by researchers to speed up germination.. ....

safe for you and your plant. if you want the best seaweed, acadian

Luke (I really should use the quote feature I just noticed your post was from 4 months ago or so), I've tried quite a few now. Powders are not my favorite. I am down to two that I can generally find and work for me quite well. 100% of my clones root 100% of the time. Things even got way too hot in my cloning chamber the other day (over 100F) and a top on one of the 12 I had going got burnt. It still rooted after that and is growing as I type lol.

Clonex Gel
Olivia's Gel

Clonex is cheaper and is what I am currently using. I am not sure if I like the Olivia's 'better' or not, she was my first favorite.

Sounds interesting adikted! Thanks for the info, I don't do seeds too often anymore unless I am getting bored and need a new breed to play with, but I have a few old seeds here I am going to try this on and the method Diamond Dave posted.

^ none, there not natural .use seaweed or plain water

if noob at cloning, get an ez-cloner or try your hand at just straight coco, works like a charm . or mess around as that's how we all learn

^ organic is better for you and the enviroment. and just my preferance

but I have never heard of any case of problems in plants, and most use some sort of chemical compound for rooting

What about putting some rooting hormone on a seedling that had some roots ripped off during transplanting. I am currently trying it with one seedling. I have another grown in exact same conditions and same watering schedule. So I have one with root hormone and one with out. A nice control. Let you know how that turns out in the next few days.

just out of shear curiosity, why are you transplanting seedlings? do you mean from moving them from paper towel to media? it takes awhile for roots to become root bound...
