Friend of mine told me to dip the seeds in rooting hormone and it will speed things up. So...i decided to try it and well im impressed. Either it worked or Jordan of the island seeds and Dr Atomic seeds spit the root out quick After 14hours in a damp paper towel in a tuperware in a dark warm place God bud from Jordan of the island has a 5/8" tap root and Burning Bush from Dr Atomic has a 1/2" tap root. i have never seen seeds pop this quick thought i would share  happy growing | ||

| in a week i am going to compare a batch side by side some with the rooting hormone and some without. the tap root was the thickest i have ever seen and was covered in hairs. some of them pushed threw the paper towel. i think my buddy is on to something they went into dirt today i guess we will see what happens | ||

| forgot to mention...this was 5 seeds of each kind and they all looked pretty much the same except that the god was a little longer both had tap roots a little over half the size of the seed | ||

| That's kinda interesting, and I guess it seems to make sense... although expect to get an earful from those who will say "you don't need rooting hormone for anything, period"... and I kinda agree, you don't really need it for clones even...(although I have since I'm a newb at cloning ) At that stage of the plants life does a little bit of speeding up REALLY matter? I'm sure before long the root will be much longer than the small amount of hormone you put on, and therefore presumeably wouldn't be benficial for too long, but very interesting indeed, im sure this has been tried and proven somewhere  -dankers

| my rooting hormone went bad, so i didnt use it on my last clones. is it necessary? no is it worth buying? yes without cloning solution these little fuckers took forever to root. some as long as 3 weeks. will have to try it on seed... sounds interesting. | ||

| the stem definately seems fatter than usual. and very hairy. they are about an inch out of the ground now at around 52 hours from sticking them in the paper towel. so over all i think it is quicker so far...but untill i do a side by side comparison its hard to say. judging by how these are so far and how my seeds usually do i think im around 2 days ahead of the game. of course im going by diffrent seeds under diffrent conditions but whatever and i know 2 days aint shit but hey when you run out of smoke 2 days b4 harvest youll be thinking why didnt i try that rooting hormone lol anyways ill keep ya posted | ||

| just curious what rooting hormone you using? liquid or dry? i need to go shopping but i know dick about cloning gels and what not. alli know is i DONT want botanicare cloning gel again... now that i think about it, whats in the bottle never seems to match the label with those guys. oh well. | ||
