Im not sure if its kosher for me to chime in here, but in defense of luke and lou I will say that where im at in the US I personally know the two guys that are shipping stuff up from texas. One of them just got nailed a month or so ago as a matter of fact. I cant say about Australia but right here at home the "commercial" (rock hard, orange, puts you to sleep) kind of weed is packed full of huge ass seeds.

I suppose Aussies are a just bit more discerning when it comes to smokables...

If you tried to sell someone, (at least in this town), seedy, flowery bud it better be super cheap or you'll be getting a nice punch in the mouth...That's just how it is. People here are pot snobs.
(Not me though, I love my sativas!)

Now perhaps a return to topic?
Bagseed's great! plant it! grow it! smoke it!

Yeah my first and second grows are from bagseed, I like them a lot if I had the space I would start hundreds of bagseed at once, maybe I would find some nice looking plants if I had the space to flower them out. I have gotten some viable seeds out of the worst weed you could imagine and now they are looking pretty good in flower under a 400w CMH bulb. I liked that I could start way more seeds then I have room to grow for insurance, when I am using seeds that cost me money I surely won't plan waste into my grows.

I hope everybody grows out thier bagseed, I mean what is the downside to getting some practice growing this plant, and who knows maybe you will find the next diesel in there for you to isolate and develop.

Best Ganj I've ever smoked was grown from some shitty bagseed. People seem to forget that seedy weed isn't potent because when the lady is pollinated she diverts her energy away from THC and towards seed developement.

I planted about 10 bagseeds outside last year. The weed it came out of was pretty dirty. Cheap and lacking potentcy, I wasn't expecting anything great. 'Bout 8 germed. 1 was female. I know, terrible ratio. But.... I culled the 7 males... let the runt girl finish, and I ended up with about one seedless ounce of the most potent weed I've ever smoked in my life (in my short 8years of smoking, that is). The first couple times I smoked it I had hysterical laughing fits where I laughed for literally half an hour at a time. I had to spit out my food because I was nearly aspirating it.

Moral of this story. Any seed can be a good seed no matter the origin. Just 'cause it came from your lows doesn't mean it can't produce some quality highs.

What dose F1, F2 mean?

I'm not 100% percent on this... but I think F1's are the first generation of seeds after two plants are mated; thus carrying more genetic variation.

F2's, I believe, are the second generation and a bit more stable.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, 'cause I very well could be.
