I don't know about this. It seems like everyone fears the hermies, but I've never ever ever had a plant from bagseed go hermie. I know they (hermies) exist, but everyone assumes that bagseed was produced by some defect in the female, but nobody stops to consider that maybe there is pollen on your grow room walls or on your fan blades or other gear.

You get a grower cycling 100 plants and one shows maleness late and there you have it.

Besides, if you are not recombining bagseed with other lines, it doesn't matter if it hermies or not. Grow it, self cross it and smoke it. Use the resulting seed to grow more and smoke it as well. It's all good in the hood.

I agree, what I wouldnt give to find some quality commercial herb! Im in a location where that should not be difficult, somehow it is...... my only hook up always get mediocre at best Mexican Schwag. Thats what Im stuck smoking on when I have no homegrown. What I wouldnt give to live in a medical state. ......oh yeah grow bagseed, who cares. If it herms smoke it anyway. If it doesnt....bonus.

Ive never grown anything but bagseed. Not thaqt i havent wanted to do otherwise but i havent grown the pair to order any seed yet.
Ive grown males, females, and yeah some hermies, but not in such out of proportion numbers that id say all bagseed is destined to be hermie. I think it just depends on the situation in which it grew before you got it and sifted through the buds.
Some of my bagseeders have been garbage but ive stumbled into some that actually proved to have some great genetic capabilities. Just this year i stumbled into somthing that appears to be autoflower! Who woulda thunk it?
I say grow the hell out of them bagseeds. Keep your best and just keep going. Eventually you could end up with somthing that will rival the best genetics money can buy.

every time ive ever grown bagseed and actually got a female, i could tell everybody i knew that it was nugs and get away with it. i dont sell, but everybody ive smoked with usually always asks me if i can get any more of that "homegrown" and offer me top dollar.

except for connoisseurs, most people cant tell the difference between bagseed that i grow, and what everybody calls "kush" or "cali". Bag appeal is a big factor around these parts.

but i only grow seeds from the best weed i find, and only use seeds out of the middle of fat buds, and i usually get awesome plants.

granted, the occasional plant is low potency, but more than often it comes out great, and is always much better than 95% of what i can get on the street.

all in all, i say dont grow seeds from a sack of schwag that had lots of seeds, even if they are nice plump brown ones.

but if you find a couple of solitary seeds in a bag of some real goody, especially if they pop out of a big bud you are breaking up, more times than not it will be female, and grow to be some real great pot.

but like i said its all indoors here and all the seeds ive gotten here locally, have all been female.

i have 2 kinds, i mixed the other with papaya, 1 plant hermies abit *the parent did in stress, the child does from start, but small and easily brushed off *got 2 new 150w hps and told her that she would only have the 70whps till she stopped this nonsense*

the other all female from seed too, which makes me think, if its indoor and got seeds, hermie. but this one doesnt get balls, *so far so good anyway*

they are both such fantastic smoke that the balls are just a little annoying.

i just brushed off the balls of the troublemaker now, you just touch the balls and they drop off, very easy.

you guys probably get weed from big outdoor fields and/or have lazy growers doing it.

its hard to miss a male indoors and the yield is so much less that i cant imagine anyone not pulling their males for a commercial grow, so yeah indoors=bagseedhermie.

but still. if thats what you got, try it. i aint dissapointed with mine *well maybe 1%*

Get over that and order some seeds! This prohibition is ignored by many many millions of people. The risks are well worth the rewards.

all my grows have been from some exceptional bagseed I acquired over the years...I think the next time I'm gonna germ some schwag, just to see what I'll get. My buddy gets schwag thats better than most of the available "bud" around these parts...I would love to go and get him ripped up on some crazy dank and be able to tell him it was the offspring of his "commersh".

90%female 8%male 2% hermie.Maybe got lucky.
