I f*****d up. Here is the one with pics. I just wanted to share something that I tried for the first time this grow. I typically germinate my seeds in rockwool 1-1/2 cubes, in a domed starting tray, under 100w cfl. I am above 90% germ rate, but the seedlings do not develop as quickly or as robust as other growers, my fault I'm sure. I was at HD and picked up a Burpee starter tray with the peat plugs that expand when wet. So far they have shown themselves to be idiot proof. After they swell, scrape up a divot in the top, drop in the seed and cover with 1/4" peat scrapings. this is a typical example at 3 weeks old., 100% germination, they all look the same, healthy, robust, roots breaking out all over and 4 real leaves (has some positive effect on sex). You can spray them down or just pour 1/2" water in the tray and they will wick it up. No nutes so far. They get transplanted tomorrow. The stunted plants are in rockwool cubes that I put in peat pots to help control the moisture. That is not as much of a problem with the peat plugs. Sorry this took so long but perhaps this will benefit some one. peace brothers | ||
