![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Im gonna say that humidity in itself does not determine sex, no. But for what its worth one of the breeders (i forget which one but i think it mighta been "greenhouse") has stated that they belive a combination of factors including humidity does. Thier belief is that higher humidty, lower temperatures, higher N content of the seedbed, and shorter vegatative hours, provide optimum conditions for females. Not to say that those conditions will make male plants turn female, but they claim that they will keep any ptoential females from turning male or hermie on you.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | "is it alright to transplant a few days after its sprouted?" that all depends on the size of what its sprouted in..if you can see roots popping out at all you definitely need to transplant asap. if its sprouted in a peat pod or a 1 inch rockwool cube and you can see roots coming out..or its planted in a 4 inch pot for example and roots are coming out the bottom already then it should be an obvious sign for you to transplant asap. personally i like to have my vegged seedlings and clones fill up a 1 gallon pot ..roots coming out the bottom. before i transplant them outside into larger permanent pots. and as for putting them outside.. it should be at least 55 farenheit at night at the lowest before you put them out. not because cannabis can't handle colder temperatures..as it can usually live until the temperature drops below freezing 0 degrees. im sure this depends on the strain. however regardless of its ability to tolerate , survive and withstand the cold.. the plant will not show development until its at around 50-55 F @ night. "does humidity determine sex" the short answer would be no..a longer answer would be humidity is a more of a variable when considering potency ..as it should be high in vegetative growth and lower around 45 % in budding stage..to achieve maximum potency humidity is absolutely a factor. variables involved in overall sex of the plant are much broader than any one specific variable.. regardless of humidity. If the seeds are from a reasonable strain..stress on the seedlings can be a factor..ideally to achieve the maximum amount of females it is thought the minimum amount of stress is ideal .. as stress whether it be cold , abnormal light, physical trauma .. seems to induce males if the seedling is stressed in any way at a younger age. you must consider also some strains are resistant to humidity and will produce potent cannabis in high humidity as well as low. a high humidity however is more desired in a the seedling and vegetative state .. and would definitely not negatively impact the seedling or inhibit its growth in any way.. just make sure you drop the humidity to 44% in flower and no higher than 55%. peace Last edited by BCGuerillaGrowa; 06-11-2009 at 03:04 AM.. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd stay away from anything "Miracle-Gro" the nutes are uncontrolled... or of poor control quality... If the pot you have it in is small enough, just wait a few more days till the roots engulf the grow medium, and then make the transplant. ![]() -GT

![]() ![]() ![]() | I wouldn't go further using MG w/ anything other than germ/sprout, budget medium... my personal preference to encourage sprouting compared to rw and other mediums - my pickyness during this delicate phase results in wasted soil..often but yah, GT is right ![]()
