STill no real sprouts.

I got two seeds the have cracked down the side lengthwise, but no taproots.

Im begining to think this banana peel method may be "myth busted"

Might work putting them in with sprouted plants to help, but it deff. isnt the best way to crack a seed IMO

I would love to see science back the banana religion up but plants like every other living thing has its DNA predetermined at *birth*. Still doesnt explain the odd results, good luck with the peel.

Get your start searching Ethylene. That is the basis for the Banana religion (whether they know it or not). Ethylene is a gas given off by ripening fruit, any ripening fruit and yes this does to some extent include your buds . Its exposure to high levels of ethylene during germination and growth that is supposed to help it become female.

I shoud;ve taken a pic. I didn't. Always take a pic of the plant. Forgot I even posted this. I was just trying to feminize my seeds before planting them. thats why I was airing out the bag. I didnt mean to germinate them, they just absorbed enough moisture to germ, even with the banana peel wrapped in a paper towel sealed in a plastic bag in a dark place with the seeds laying loose in the corner of the bag(Mental pic). Don't air the bag out and they will germ much quicker.Recently did it with white widow 2/2 and Red deisel 2/2 and thai super skunk 1/2 with the second being a hermie. Try it it will work. Glad I made someone laugh.
I've heard and read that the ethylene gas will give a much better chance of haveing female plants. Also crushed birth control pills dilluted in water and used with the papertowel method supposed to work .I havent tried it something about the estrogen. Idont have alot of seed stash lying around to play with. Also theres a solution sold in the netherlands just for cannabis seeds(you soak your seeds in it).

That may work even better. I also cut up banana peels and mixed them in with the soil lay the bean in the soil not burying it, I shade the seed with a small piece of banana peel to avoid heat damage since I don't bury the seed. Pops up and now I dont need to germinate seeds. u know because i have a bunch of ladies.BTW this is my first garden.I cant wait to smoke my first bud 30 more days.
