alright well i recently got my 10 seeds in the mail. I had heard good and bad things about germ rates with the company so i decided to be a little on the safe side and germ more than i can actually hold. I can only fit 5 right now and so i decided to throw six in some damp paper towels, threw it in a ziploc and placed it in my bottom desk drawer. first i had 2 in but i decided ill put in more and in about 24 hours the first 2 germed, in only 12 hours after putting in the other 4, 2 germed and right now i have 4 seeds in solo cups with a 5th germing. My question is, is it ok too take out the 6th seed which hasnt showed any signs of cracking yet and putting it with the others so i can use it another time? Will it germ 1 way or another or will it stop and possibly just rot inside if its soaked up enough water. i only have 10 so every seeds counts

If the seed did not germinate the first time, it is dead.

No use trying to germ it again.

well its only been about 24 hours so i would say that its on its way...

id get it dried off quik as possible.

if it has the tiniest crack in it, its not going to germinate later.

id say that seed is useless it will either germinate or its already dead.next time try feminized seed,im going to order a 5 pack and plant all 5 if only 3 come up ill at least have 3 females,thats the problem with regular seed you dont know how many males youll get.i once planted 10 ak48 seeds 8 came up and 8 were males.

i think you guys are missing the point here...

he said the seed is less than 24 hours in a paper towel. dont know about the rest of you, but ive had PLENTY of seeds germ on the 2nd or 3rd day...not 1st.

thier is a chance you could save it...but if its already started germinating the least bit, you better keep it growing.

alright well the seed hasn't shown any sign of germing so ill just keep it in storage and it will either be dead or reusable in the future.

and if someone could offer some advice here, 1 of the seeds has alright broken out and is close to breaking its leaves out of the shell. I have plastic wrap over the top of the cup to keep it humid so when is it ok to remove the plastic wrap? right now? or wait a bit?

you didnt ever need it. seedlings dont need high humidity.

clone what you grow out and then you won't have to worry about further germinations...and you'll know ya got femmes, to boot.
