but damn, you go through all that just to pop a bean?

Not knocking your method, it seems to work for you, but why all the complications behind something very simple.

And believe me you're not along, many I have seen do some of those rituals, wet towels, soaking of the beans, dancing around dressed like indians etc, never really got the point behind that voodoo stuff.

I throw a seed in anything moist, I get a seedling, no voodoo, just nature shit, you know, water/air/warmth, that kind shit, all together boom, fucking magic, I get a plant.

Its amazing how simple mother nature is.

Yea I know.. But I had the worst time getting seeds to germ.. I think its because the house stays really cool..So I tried adding heat to the process ,but added too much at first.. Screwing up 3 orders of seeds in a row is no fun at all ..I found out this way I can get a 99% success rate. So I just stick with it.

I hear you man, it sure can be frustrating indeed, I'm seeing even some pros having problems germing this year.

Placing the domes with seeds/clones on top of the lights for heat seems to work very well for me.

I have a shelf mounted about a foot over my veg lights and it stays around 90F up there, my last seeds in soil popped within 48 hrs.
