Sup everyone ![]() Just wanted to find out how to make a females grow male sacks to get pollen so I can seed my female and keep the genetics from that strain, I have 2 Abusive O.G.Kush plants and I really like this one cuz' it can really withstand extreme temps. I had more to experiment with, so I took one to see how spider mites attack it but instead the freakin' buggers wouldn't attack the plant at all, I don't know if the plant is to strong or they just dont like the smell or taste?? ?? I'm confused, I dont feed my plants anything but FoxFarm Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, Beastie Bloomz, etc... So far all I know is if I stress the plant out will it grow males parts on certain nodes & if so how can I do this the right way ![]() I need my bushes to seed asap thanks

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | if you only have girls and no pollen you can push one plant untill it has bananas...that would get you pollen. Then you could polenate a younger girl. Keep in mind that you want around 4 weeks or more for seeds to develop. A plant that is put'n out bananas would be ok for pollen, but not for seed production. I would take the banana and put it on a younger girl. Not only could you use the plant with bananas to polentate..you could still harvest it and have a good smoke. This is just from stuff I have read....have not done it or done enough research to confirm it all..but I think it is good info.. Like my info or any other info you may get I would advise look'n in a reliable 420 grow book. When I research and do something I dont know I try to double check my facts and make sure I know what I am do'n before I do it.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You should look into STS, which is a combination of Sodium Thiosulfate and Silver Nitrate. The instructions can be found here. I know its a Grasscity link, but its a cw.org article, and can be trusted. This method has become the industry standard.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good morning, I found several light leaks (pinholes) in the plastic sheeting used to divide my flower area from the grow that allowed light to disrupt my dark cycle (of course I didn't realize this when I got my Ladies flowering) and thus was the proud father of many seeds though this wasn't my intention when flower began I did however allow them to mature. Three cloned girls of different strains and now (then) have seed stock. When I harvested I found that my kgb had maybe 10 seeds and the AK47 had maybe 5 and the Trainwreck being the winner producing over 40 (she was a much bigger plant). I gave away the kgb & AK seeds to a good friend and kept all the Tw. Last month on July 17 I germinated six of these Tw seeds and two days later the first sprouts broke soil, if this is any indication of how these young Ladies will grow out based on sprouting so quickly with no special treatment to the seeds at all IE: into Fox Farm Light Warrior soil in a 6pak contianer watered and placed underr a domed tray on a heated prop mat. Sowed on a Friday sprouted on Sunday. 5 young girls out of 6! Once past the embryo leaves and with the first "true" pair of leaves feeding on the FF soil schedule began. Today, they are showing there fourth node and branching has begun. I am hoping these will produce as good a Trainwreck as i've had my clones were originally from seed back in 2006 when seed fell from a bag that a friend had gotten from a medical grower he knows in the city. I sowed seed back then and have been cloning Tw ever since until now with these F1's So, i'm hoping for a cross between kgb, ak47 & trainwreck and hoping for something good to come from these we'll see.. Have a Great day and very sorry for how long this post is.. don

![]() | So if I put my 3 ladies that are ready to flower make it where theres only a crack of light and wait 3 weeks to expect seeds, I'm sorry I'm trying to learn how to do this and I only have a month to do so thanks for all the helpful grow tips, good to hear lots of techniques I guess Jeorge Cervantes was right there's no same grower in the world, we all have different ways to grow and special techniques. Good lookin' out man

You should only need to open your cab door once or twice in a day for a couple of days during the dark cycle to achieve enough stress to the plant to cause it to hermy (which is what we're doing) but, you'll need several more weeks after that for seed maturity maybe the length of your flower cycle (3 weeks won't be enough) The Trainwreck, kgb & AK that went to seed flowered for 14 weeks to mature the seed and allow the Ladies to resume growing flower after seed maturity completed.. Never again (for a long while) will I allow my Ladies to go that long, I just don't have the medicine to last that long betwen cycles.. Good luck in your endeavors for seed stock don

I'm sorry Camper BUT this is not a good idea at all. Yes if you stress out a plant enough with light leaks etc., you might end up with a hermied plant. This plant can have some pollen which will produce seeds BUT These seeds are NOT STABLE!!!! Honestly you really SHOULD NOT use seeds like this. You will be very sorry that you did. If breeding was this easy everyone would be doing it ![]() Only 100% pure male pollen is good enough to produce viable seeds.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good morning Lacy Viable ?? as in they would survive being planted? hmm, I understand the stability factor in the breeding aspect but, not sure I understand the viability part. Are you saying they wouldn't sprout or produce a good start if sprouted or would lose much of the genetics of the original plant / cross between mulitples ? ? ? Thanks and sorry if i'm giving mis-information but, of what i've read this is one way to induce a plant to self pollinate. Since we are all just experimenting with pot and different growing methods I see no prob On the other hand, you could go the "chemical" way with Giberallic Acid (not sure thats spelled right) and a lot of reading and research.. Have a Great day and don't forget to stop and smell a rose don p.S. again sorry for any mis-information
