| I haven't ever grown so this is all new to me. I've read over the growing guide but I can't seem to find any information on the exact amount of time a seed can is considered "viable" after being removed from the plant. Does a seed have to be freshly picked when it is planted, or if not, how old can it be, and what if it has been dried with the leaves? | ||

I have heard of seeds germinating after 2+years of being stored. As long as they are stored correctly; a cool, dry, dark, place they should be able to sprout for up to a couple of years at least. | ok i have a question(s),my brother and i have grown plants before but it was a longgg time ago.i forgot how to do a lot of it.This is the first time i have tried to grow them on my own,the way i started them was in a zip lock bag with papertowels and water. Most of the seeds have started sprouting. Now for my questions:is there a certain way to put them in the soil?I was told that im supposed to put the seed upside down cause it will grow down then up.Second question when should i put them in soil?

The fresher any seed is the better it is. As any seed gets older germination rates go down. If seeds are real old seedling size is down and that really sets back a plants growth. In the Ideal World of Moronic Illegality what ever kind of seed you can find sure does the trick for me.
