| Hi there, this site has been very helpful and i thank you all. I have some quick questions though....Im trying to grow in my closet and my friend told me that to make the seeds sprout a lil first, put them in cups of water, and let them sit. He said that all the bad seeds would sink to the bottom and all the good seeds would float and sprout, im now on day 3 and i havent seen to much, i have over 70 seeds in about 9 different cups, surely 1 out of the 70 should work.....right?? oh well if anyone would please just post some help id apreciate it THANX PAKELIKA | ||

PAKELIKA

First off.. Your friend shouldnt say what he doesnt know for fact.. the sink/float thing is bullsh1t.. after a few days in water the floating seed will sink anyway.. so that theory is garbage.. all the seeds ive germinated that method cracked open on the bottom of the cup, not the floaters.. the floaters shells ended up looking halfway retarted being that only half the seed was submerged.. give it a wierd waterlog look.. Secondly, dont invest all your cards into one method if you're unsure of the outcome.. you shouldve put some in papertowels, some in cups, some in the medium they're going to be transplanted to, in different locations to see what works best for YOU. this comes by just trying dif things, i wasted MAD seeds (GOOD BOMB DOJA FUNKY SKUNKY MM MMM MM SEEDS) doing the beginner thing and investing everything into one idea.. experiment my brudda, these are your babies.. you control them:P hope this post helps... oh btw: ive had NO luck germinating then transplanting, soon as i transplant nothing happens and they rot away.. just my experience.. couldve been a number of things i was doing wrong, but to avoid doing anything wrong with good results ive been planting straight into my medium in the exact place they intend to be grown.. and have had good results, about 6 out of 7 sprouts, 5 out of 6 in soil land 1 out of 1 in rockwool.. however, you may have better luck than I germinating then transplanting, just make sure ALL your conditions are right, temperature - consistent 80-95 degrees, lighting isnt important, dont waterlog your plants if planting in rockwool, just keep the cube moist, if soil, just make sure the top 1/4 inch is always moist until it sprouts.. good luck. -kush | ||
