Ok, here's the deal on lighting. 1st. You don't go by how many plants you have, you go by the square footage of your flowering area. 2nd. Your flowering area is 4sq.ft. 3rd. You need at least 5,000 lumen per sq.ft. 7,500 is optimum. 4th. For your grow area you need 20,000 to 30,000 total lumen. The least expensive way to go would be with 2, 150 watt hps security lights from Home Depot. They come with everything you need & give off about 16,000 lumen each. You'll have more than enough ventilation with the 4 fans you have, to keep the heat under control. To answer one of your other questions, yes, HPS bulbs take special sockets & they need a ballast. The other way you could go, is to use 3, 95 watt Envirolites. 2 full spectrums & 1 red spectrum. Each EVL gives off 8,500 lumen. Each EVL will cost you about $100.00 though. But they come with the ballast built in. EVLs also need a special socket that will cost $7.00 to $10.00. Hope this helps. Later. 86.

As you can see from the chart, your 40 watt floros only put out 2200 lumen each. You would need 10 of them to flower a MJ plant in your space. It's not that floros won't grow a MJ plant, it's just that they're not very efficient. And if you really want to learn about lighting,HERE'S a great thread on lighting. Later. 86.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | basically.. If you wanna gro a plant and are not worried about bud quality, yeild size, plant size, potency (although potency has lots to do with the seed you planted) or vigor then you can easily pull it off with a few floros, but if you wanna harvest a crop WORTH growing, there right a couple small hps bulbs would do nicely.
