| Of course my dad smokes. My mom smokes and here boyfriend smokes. Her roommate smokes and her ex-boyfriend smokes. Whenever i'm ova her house we all drink and get high. From what my mom says my dad is a mary jane dealer but hasn't been selling latly cause mom tried to bust dad. He still smokes alot and lets me use his bong. He gives all his rouches to our friend yogi who has cancer. He doesn't eat much so he gets high so he can eat. His kids are total pot heads. Dad also smokes with the neibors and is having one of our neibors grow weed. I decided to help but my dad doesn't take me seriously. | ||

| I do not recommend using a paper towel to germinate seeds. The ph of paper towels is usually high, and that may cause all of you plants to become male. Another problem is that when you transplant a sprouted seed you may kill it, as many of you know. Here is the technique that I use with great success!

Soak your seeds in a cup of distilled water for 24 hours.
remove them and carefully push them into 1" cubes of florafoam(oasis) pointy end up.
Soak the seeded cubes with a very mild solution of miracle grow rooting fertilizer (4-12-4).
Put the cubes in a glass baking pan and cover with plastic wrap.
Poke a few small holes in the plastic wrap.
This is the important part! Put the baking pan in a dark warm place(80-90 degrees).
Is this technique cheap? Yes, total cost $6. Most seeds germinate within 5 days using this technique. If some of the cubes don't sprout, put them back into the dark warm cycle untill they do. Sometimes a seed will take 20 days to germinate and impatient growers throw them away. An important benefit of the cube is the safety when you transplant, Just pop it in your growing media and away it grows! [This message has been edited by Inphreakr (edited May 07, 2000).]

| You can purchase Oasis florafoam at your local florist shop or supply. The blocks are aprox 6"x10", So you need to cut them into 1" cubes. Florescent Lighting is great for vegative growth. Make sure you use at least one plant tube(aprox $6). You can use a cool white on the other side(aprox $2). Good luck! | ||

I just couldn't pass without saying, YES! If you keep the soil moist(during germination), and an average temperature, they'll do just fine. After just let the soil dry...or transplant them, at 3,4 weeks Wolfman

Which growing media is the safest? A. Dirt, containing microbes, fungus, disease, and decaying organic matter. Even if the soil was sterile it could soon be overun with fungus because of the decaying matter and moisture. B. Floral foam, which is 99% sterile and contains no decaying organic matter. C. Paper towels, High in PH, and contain starch. Fungus loves starch, seedlings hate high PH. D. None of the above, Duh what was the question? My choice is B. And anyone who wants healthy seedlings would make the same choice.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd add course grade vermiculite as another option to floral foam. It has basically the same properties as FF. I have used this for everything and it works great ![]() LB
