i had 3 black seeds. 2 of them just cracked but 1 of them grew like MAD a half inch sprout in 2 day while the other ones not grow sprout after 4-5 then 6-8 . only 1 of 5 seeds germinated. 2 of them were white and immature so i expected them not to grow.

i am wandering how many times ur seeds dont germinate and is it common for seeds not to be mature enough to germinate. thanks.




ps i put my germinated seed in soil and only 1 of the cotolydens poped up. the other is in a the shell. i think i put a 60 watt light to closed to it and fried it. is that possible?

what kind of 60 watt light? You mean a lamp with a light bulb (like you would use in your house?)

Success depends on the seeds you have.

I have to agree. I'm just starting my first successful grow. I've been trying to propogate seeds for the last 6 months and have had NONE pop! Granted all the seeds I had tried were all bag seeds and weed in my area is far from proper or anything I would call "good". If you live in an area like mine bag seed is a complete waste of time. All along I had thought it was something I was doing wrong. I eventuelly bought some seed and they have all poped, sprouted and are growing like mad after only a week and a half. I used no lights during propogation. I used the propogation used by ST0ney. His method worked great for me. Like lilmama said "Success depends on the seeds you have."
It sounds like you are a begginner like myself. Try ordering a $15 pack of seeds and I'm sure you will see a huge differance!
