No sprout?

Man, I used the paper towel method and the taproot came out. I planted the seed the next day and five days later it still didn't sprout yet. I dug it up to see its progress, its taproot is over one and half inches long but nothing has sprouted on the other end. Should I be worried? BTW this is my first grow as you probly guessed

Are you growing in soil? If so, what size container did you plant it in and do you have any light on it? It should be planted approx 1/4 to 1/2 inch below surface with floro light in the beginning. At least that works for me. I wouldn't go "digging" it up again, that could cause fatal root damage. If the tap root was 1" long and still in good shape and the soil is moist and not waterlogged you should still be ok.....just give it some time.

something is wrong,
it should sprout already, that's why i don't use paper towel method, just put the seeds in the soil next time, and wait.
