I read somewhere that increasing the temperature to around 90F helps some strains to germ. Especially the equitorial(sp) ones. I don't know if yours is but it wouldn't hurt to try that. Maybe on top of your computer monitor.

....tagging onto the good info given
If push comes to shove try adding a little H2O2.
That paper towel should hold cracked beans over night.
Will beans removed from the dirt damage them??

It would depend if they are cracked or not. Something that you wouldn't know until you dug it up.

By adding a little H2O2 (IMHO) (from my experiments) the beans seem to crack faster and seem a bit ; just a bit longer than my norm.

The statement..."that papertowel should hold cracked beans overnight"
Is from 3 bowls of some kush afriend supplied; 3 coronas and about 4 hours sleep the night before. Sorry

It's merely saying that the method used by adding H2O2 should help the beans crack overnite. Thus the papertowel should hold cracked beans overnight.

I hope Im making sense now.
Sorry for the confusion

Ive seriously found, a lil bleach helps prevent mold and helps cracking of the beans soon. Helps older seeds act like newer seeds and smells clean heh
