Has anyone ever tried using toilet paper instead of paper towel to germinate seeds. Does it influence the results in anyway? What about j cloth they seem to hold water much better would that be better of the three? thanks | ||

 | hey makaveli_mo I doubt using toilet paper would change any results. I think the best of the three is the paper towel. Hey, they dont call it the paper towel method for nothing.  Later, x. | ||

| dude i am sure if you got toilet paper you got paper towels. to me i would never do it any other way. after couple days of pts they have two leaves and long roots. after a couple hrs they will have a lil root | ||

| The problem with toilet paper is that when it gets moist, it starts to disintegrate, which is why it's safe for septic systems and not paper towels.

| I have used newspaper and coffee filters succesfully in the past to germinate various seeds. Its all about creating the environment that is conducive to germination, ie warm ,moist and dark. Toilet paper I am sure would work, but like spiffy said it has its flaws.
