Hey thanks for this thread!
I lost most of my satori seeds trying to germ them directly in soil - only 2 out of 10 germed For the last 2 seeds I tried this method with 100% success!

haze and jack herer in H20

This is the first method i heard of and the only one i've used, with a 90% success rate. However, i recenty bought 80 seeds from "CanabisSeeds.com", put 3 Haze and 3 Jack herer in two separate shot glasses with H20, for four days and no tap root appeared. Eighty seeds is a great deal for $60 and I expect some of these seeds not to germinate, but it does seem somewhat suspicious that so far, 6 did not germ. I hope to God that all 90 are not duds, because $60 is hard to come by.

Ouch!
Well, since I discovered this method, I can say I had 90% success. The 10% that didn't work was because mold appeared on the seeds just before the root. They didn't survive the seedling stage. I found that changing the water daily and putting a few chamomilia flowers in it helped preventing the mold.

Anyways, I was wondering what to expect from those seeds (20$ a pack... wow!). Let us know if you finally get some success with germination...

One Haze germed, in a precarious way. Instead of the tap root protruding out of the seed, the seed itself kinda open up more than usual, exposing the tap root and most of the hull. So, I rushed that little baby in a starter pot of black gold potting soil, keeping it warm and hoping it will sprout.
Out of a total of 18 seeds, one germ, so far. I could just cry. . . I just can't believe this

Thus the cup o H20 works, if your seeds are viable.

P.S. I'm going to move this problem to a different thread.

Which thread?? I'm plotting my next grow and I hate to say I'm using you as a guinea pig, but don't mind the cedar shredding, and I keep the herb next to the carrots...

I'm happy someone can learn from my mistakes. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Great thread!

Does everyone use H2O2? And how much?

I've been using this method for a few grows and love how easy it is, just wondering how the H202 would help cause I now have some stubborn seeds thats soaked for 30 hours.
