You can look at them all you want just be sure they stay damp and have some warmth.
Soaking them in a jar until they sink works well also.
Then put them in the paper towels.
I've done that a few times too.

I always check them out too.
It seems like I have no patience, I want everything to happen fast.
Mother Nature goes at its own pace.
They pop when they are ready to pop.

Be patient, it can take up to a week or so.
It depends on what you are starting with.
If they don't pop in ten (10) days then something is wrong !

I soak the paper towels then squeeze a little water out then put the towels inside sandwich bags. I label the bags to the strain and put them on my heat mat. I usually get germed seeds with full tap root within 48-72 hrs. with this method.
