Question Seedling care between wool and dirt

Hey y'all. Long time lurker, first time poster, etc.

Growing a few plants from seeds, using the 'ol paper towel method + rock wool cubes. Everything is cozy, seeds have all hatched, been deposited into the wool and are just starting to show roots outside of the cubes. But there is little veg on top, which I know is normal since they just started, but that leads me to my question: what do I feed these babies before they get dropped into pots and the usual water/fert/dirt combination kicks in?

It seems like I should be giving them something besides wool, water and light... right? Or do chemicals have to wait until they are more grown up, in a dirt (or hydro) setting?

I've searched, watched videos and havent really found a solution, since most people start this period with well-established clones. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Do not feed them until the first set of leaves (rounded) are shriveled and yellow. (Cotyledon is the name of those leaves, btw.)

The food the plant needs is in the plant already... seed and seed leaves (cotyledons).
What is your plan when they are larger?
Going into dirt?

Start reading about soil mixes and transplanting so in a week or so you will be ready to make the change.

Peace-
OD

Right on. I've got the dirt mix already planned and bought, just need to pick up the pots. And my lights (two 600w) are en route as well, I've been taking pictures of everything and will start a journal when it's all up and running

i would start with a smaller pot at first so they get a dense root ball. then later transplant into the large on after 30 days or as you see fit
