i'm trying to experiment with different ways to germinate. i've done the paper towel method and i've set in a clear cup of water. i haven't had a problem with either, but i'm wondering ways you all have at least semi-successfully germinated. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | well it all depends how much you are germinating if you are going small use the papertowel or rockwool trick if however say you need germinate a few more seeds than the normal person than you can use this method ![]() you get some tight weave metal screen from the HD i use 2 layers then i add all my seeds im gonna germ i also leave in some plant matter to retain moisture then i dunk it in a bucket of ice water and give it a good soak i leave it for about 2 hours then i remove the screen from the water and squeeze out as much water as i can then i let it sit in the sun for a few hours still squeezing out some water every hour then one day later i check it and take out the popped w/tails seeds this shot is 18 hours after i put them in the ice water i ask you this: does it look like it works to you? remember this is 18 hours from first soak in ice water ![]() ![]() then after i remove all the tail seeds i dunk em in more regular tempurature water and repeat and almost all of them will germ | ||

![]() | sleepyrz- i definitely don't plan on germinating that many, but that's quite an idea. keep me updated on those babies if you can!Spittn4cash- what exactly is the sponge method? would you have to make cuts into the sponge to put the seeds in? i don't see them staying in the little holes in the sponge. thanks for all your input so far!
