| Mail-order seeds, how good of an idea is this? With the prospect of a roadtrip to Canada in my near future, I can't help but feel wary of the "ease and security" of obtaining seeds in this manner. Then again, the idea of getting the little buggers through customs doesn't exactly leave me feeling tickled either. Yep, I'm a rookie at this! So please, opinions, advice, and reccomendations to a good seedbank would be greatly appreciated. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Howdy sweetnsticky and Welcome to Hempcultivation.com ![]() Mail-order seeds are a great idea Be sure you have a secure method of having the seeds delivered to you, AF's address is the easiest way but you do have to tell them at that point which could be a security issue. The stealth shipping from some of these guys are great!Or go to Canada and mail them to yourself or friend when you get there. Or carry them back in something. I don't think seeds carry a scent as plant material would. I can't remember where I read that at???? I have ordered from the seed companies and have been quite satisfied with everything ![]() Check out Greenman's Page for what companies to use ![]() Next order is Blueberry Wonder if D9 is around to let me know what company's strain he prefers but ah well... I guess we will have to see ![]() Good Growing LB [This message has been edited by lilbuddie (edited July 13, 2000).]

The white kind that you can't see through. Push the deodarant out and neatly remove it from the container. Using a very warm knife hollow it out keeping the outside as intact as possible. Wrap the seeds in foil, then plastic, then foil again. Place the seeds in the hollowed out deodarant. Place the stuff back into the original container and push it back like it was. Use some of it so it looks used. Stick an underarm hair or two to it and cross the border with it in your suitcase. Good Luck. [This message has been edited by Joker1.5 (edited July 14, 2000).]

I would feel much calmer if I was carrying a whole pound of seeds up under my car than if I was getting a few in the mail. Then again...I'm currently awaiting 27 seeds from Canada, and I'm quite on edge right now, its been a while since I made that order... If I stop posting...you'll know what happened. -War

It aint fun (trust me) I had forgoten a pipe in my glove box and they found it! Oh, the luck I have... ![]() The deodarant idea sounds good, but if at all possible, avoid going accross with it on you. Try to mail it. I think that would be the best way. ![]() mr g

The Border Patrol searched every car that went through. But I have a big family and when they saw that big van full of kids they just told us to go through. Unfortunatly I was to young to even know what pot is, much less smuggle seeds back into the US. My suggestion is that you travel with family or old people or something. They go a lot easier on innocent people like cars or old people.

| I dont know what the big fuss is about. I am not quite sure about the canada-u.s border, but they NEVER check your wallet at airports!. Just cut a descreet little hole in your wallet and stuff it SMOOTHLY, with bud/seeds/hash or anything else, try not to make a huge strange looking bulge. Also put a few coins in it. I have done this LOTS of times at borders and airports and have had my luggage checked, but NOBODY has ever asked to look in my wallet. The people working there havent got anything personal against any1! As long as they get payed they work a bit, but they wont rip up everything you own to find seeds. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, I would NEVER put anything like that in my wallet and go across borders. Drug dogs are becoming more and more common in airports these days; around me anyway . The dogs stand on the bottom of the arrival gates just "hanging out" until they catch a whiff of something "interesting". You won't see them for domestic flights but you will see them much more often at International gates! A word of warning! This is first hand experience not hearsay .... Be Careful!LB

But does that mean that dogs can't? Dogs can smell way better then us and are trained for it. I'm sure if you had a bag of seeds, that a doggie could smell it. The seeds them selves would have the smell of pot on them from the plant that they came from, would they not? (unless you washed them) ?? Or like I saw above if you stuck some in some pit-stick the smell would be taken over by a "fresh sent" I'd be hid'n thoes seeds either way. But the best way is to not have them on you at all. ![]() yours mr g
