I have read a lot of journals where people are having a difficult time getting their seeds to germinate. Over the years, I have tried just about every type of seed germination process there is. Through lots of trial & error, this tutorial will be the method I have found to be, by far the easiest, most successful germination process there is. Step #1: Pick your seeds. I have found that the seeds with the most striations in coloring to be the easiest to germinate. Step #2: Get 2 dinner plates. The heavier the better. Mine are stoneware. Step #3: Cut 12 pieces of paper towel. They need to fit on the flat part of the dinner plate. Here's a pic of what you need for the 1st three steps.

Step #4: Place 6 pieces of the paper towels, onto the dinner plate.

Step #5: Using reverse osmosis or distilled water, get the paper towels wet. More than damp, but not soaked. When you put pressure on the paper towels, they should hold the imprint of your fingers.

Step #6: Place your seeds onto the paper towels. Don't push them into the paper towels. Just lightly set them down.

Step #8: Get your fingers wet by dipping them into a glass of water. Then, let the water drip off your fingers, onto the paper towels that are on top of the seeds. You need to get the top layer of paper towels, as wet as you got the bottom layer of paper towels.

Step #10: Place the dinner plates on top of your VCR, or something else that stays warm all the time.

Step #11: Check your seeds about every 12 hours. When you remove the top plate, be sure to let the condensation that has built up on the underside of it, drip back onto the paper towels. Carefully lift an edge of the paper towels until all the seeds are uncovered. This lets air get to them, which I have found tends to speed up the germination proccess. Within 12 to 48 hours your seeds should have popped. Here is a pic of the popped seeds. This was after 48 hours. ( I couldn't get the roots to show up on the paper towels, so I set the seeds on a black piece of paper so you can see what they look like.)
