*edited* mid february.. i'm adding a review as it's had some time to cure.. buds are foxtaily, i have some tolerance atm having smoked a bit most evenings, and a heavier indica some nights. very lucid and clear high, fast acting, usually need a second bowl for the cross-eyed euphoric effect the indica has, though the immediate strong effect opens my awareness naturally. i'm experiencing what i'd figure is common to any sativa as this is the only sativa smoke i'm well experienced with. i'm not getting any gluey couchlock thought-evaporation effects and am not personally troubled by anxiety. * 1) Strain - durban poison 2) Breeder - Marijuana Seeds (cannabis Seeds) High Quality Low Prices 3) Indica/Sativa - sativa 4) Grown Indoors/Outdoors - indoors under CFLs, 400w 5) Days flowered and trichomes color(s) - harvested prematurely @ 4 weeks 6) Medium used - soil (mainly supersoil, perlite) 7) Nutrients - bat guano, worm castings, kelp, MG, FF 8) Curing method and time - dried on top of reflector for a week 9) Type of high - no comment yet 10) Potency - mid+ (read report - harvested early) 11) Brief description of taste/effects the grow: ------------- only one seed made it, which may easily have been my fault. i was having trouble germing everything i could find at the time, what did germ tended to get eaten by larvae. i started the grow very modestly, not intending to use more light than one shoplite. i convinced myself to invest more in stages, until purchasing a 400w HPS for flowering. so my veg lighting was modest. this plant is easy to care for, vigorous and clones well. despite mistakes in veg, she was 4' by flowering, then stretched like crazy which was LST'ed into a wide canopy, with over a dozen strong tips at the top. i overfertilized and overwatered, as can be seen in this shot: ![]() just as the overfert hit, i had to shut the grow down on two occasions (eg. termite inspection) which meant my big, ailing plant got shoved in a tiny box and didn't recover. the bud dried on the plant as i tried to save it, so i didn't get a chance to flush it. at 4 weeks into flowering there were many pistils, but few trichomes, and the buds were of a thinner, characteristically different manner from indicas i've grown. one much smaller, healthy plant survives, so in a few months i'll be posting a finished smoke report. the surviving plant is starting to get trichs on the calyxes, and they're kinda chunky (not globular but almost scaly, like squares of sugar crystals instead of round blobs). the stuff i've smoked didn't have those yet, so it's obviously less potent than the finished bud. the smoke: ---------------- the taste of the strain is slightly piney, there isn't much of an odor (as one would expect at 4 weeks). tbh i haven't taken a break from smoking long enough to have a clear impression of the overall effect of this strain (i'm overworking and oversmoking atm) beyond finding it's potency to be average to good in this unfortunately early form. so i'm looking forward to the finished bud for a real smoke, i can say it's stronger than the brickseed i grew alongside it, not as strong as the deep chunk genetics, although the DC indica buds are far more finished at 4 weeks than the DP sativa. i am expecting given the sativa manner that it will take longer to finish than the alleged 8 weeks. one note - it's possible that the use of KELP helped to overnute my plant, i was ~copious with it (over a cup in a 5 gallon bucket) - one thing is for sure, i can taste and smell the kelp in the weed, and it smells really really good, earthy and zingy, well recommended. my overall impression, given that i am fairly new to strains, is definately favourable.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | a member of a hemp club sampled the premature bud i had and said that he could tell it was good quality, and atm it's hitting me and i'd have to agree. definately an increase in trichs on the surviving plant. it's practically odorless unless you rustle it. a plus ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey man...That reads like the Perils of Pauline. I can appreciate all that you went through. Glad you were able to salvage some smoke.. Gotta love those sat doms! I just quick dried some Power Plant popcorn...it's getting to be it's last lap. Tomorrow is 50 days under 12/12. Unfortunately, it resides next to a plant that I think of as "Nessie" - It's a Blueberry Skunk from Flying Dutchman that has overgrown my humble little 2 X 3 (and change) chamber...A Monster Amazon!! The Power Plant definitely did not reach it's full growth potential as a result of its monster amazon neighbor...but, even dried quick, it is wonderful.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | it seems i have some seeds setting on DP from the (thai x deepchunk) males, and an unsexed original haze, so i'm resisting further genetic investments for now. i've also got something from a local medicinal club, i thought they said (NL x urkel) but this months' was really fruity and choicey. the club is great, though one doesn't have much chance to observe the effects of the strains discretely, and oc mostly indicas. what a fricking boon they are to the socially demure. i'm keeping new veg as mothers, might move before i flower again. i'd say fair bet i'll be looking for landrace genetics for breeding before too long (it's the areferential way). i'd like to be erudite enough to make my own mind about sativa and indica difference. i'd probably need to takea longer break to do that ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() here's a bud on the smaller (surviving) plant, at ~7 weeks. i'm thinking the finish is still going to be 12 weeks or more. this bud is on the side, so smaller, though for some reason the lower buds are getting more trichs than the tops. it's hard to see the trichs in the pics because of my shaky photography. it's only been the last week or so that the trichs have started to appear on leaves around the calyxes. plus i had some interruptions in my lighting, and the plant seemed to stop growing for a few weeks, it's starting to go agan now.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i tried the immature bud today after curing. more potent still. it hit in a few seconds, and "opened me up" to where my thoughts seemed to have extra dimensions discernible all around me which impressed me as i smoke daily. i imagine on a clean plate it would be sufficiently trancendental.another teaser, still waiting on the maturing bud ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i'm at 9, trichs are clear to the naked eye. i've got some seed setting for ~4 weeks, and the pods are just stating to swell, i doubt they'll be finished for 2 or 3 weeks, i've never intentionally made seeds before. growth has been at a standstill for a month, for the nute burn i believe. she's only now starting to fill out again. i'm sure her trials have reduced her growth, i don't know to what extent they have affected her time. i swear, one of the stems i cut on the mom has a leaf that's arbitrarily curled around the break, like "ow" ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() still going.. not buried in sugar. what i smoked definately did not look like this. the calyxes are starting to look puffy like berries now, she's gotten rounder and fuzzier. apologies for the teaser smoke report ![]()
