this smoke report is half-assed because my plant didn't make it through flowering, however there's not too much info on this strain around so here's my report.

i grabbed this strain because they were the cheapest sativa influenced strain listed on the first site i felt comfortable buying seeds from.

the plants bought it in the 4th week of flowering due to a combination of reasons, so i got about a 1/4oz worth of premature but fairly good quality smoke.

the smoke:

i can't give this strain a proper report due to the early demise of my plant and the resultant immaturity. the tops had sugared up nicely, we're still talking 5 weeks of flowering max.

what i can say is - in this state, i found it appreciably potent weed with a good duration and no sleepiness. i tend to stay high and busy throughout the day, so i can say it didn't interfere with my schedule, and can't strongly separate the individual effect from other weed smoked earlier.

about 20 minutes after smoking a bowl (one little round flower) the lemon oil smell hit me, which i haven't really detected previously. it's not disagreeable at all.

i would say this strain's effect is best described as a quality indica with sativa influence to reduce the couchlock. i felt aware and high, i did not feel trippy. i have no idea if smoking more (or properly finished bud) is more psychedelic.


the plant:

my grow started REALLY low budget (a single shop lite and MG) and got upgraded to decent equipment in the process, so my plants got shuffled around a lot, eventually most of my garden choked probably on the miracle grow in the 4th week of flowering, even though i had stopped using miracle grow in veg.

during veg the thais were respectably tolerant of my inexperienced care, if not robust.

i had 4 of 6 germ (probably my fault) though of those 4, only 1 was female.

the phenos also differed greatly - two of the males STANK to high heaven and were taller.. the female did get overwatered, lost 2 weeks recovering and never made it to the size of the others, still, i do think she was a different pheno.

at 9 weeks veg she was still barely 12" though some males were close to 2' and stouter than any plant i've ever seen a picture of. i'm guessing DC is about the stubbiest strain going.

it was impossible to see internodes because the foliage was too close together. the trunk was fat. the female, especially short, really looked like a cross with brocolli.

about 2 weeks into flowering she finally stretched, as you can see in the picture.. creating space for light to reach the flowering tips. the effect was sort of like r2d2's turret popping up.

the issue was that i had some worm castings in my watering can, and the sand in the worm castings had held all the mineral salts, so there got to be a week when everything i watered with it went down

she had visible foliar signs of overnute issues all through flowering, with discoloured, ram's horn leaves et c. so really she didn't get a chance to grow properly and prove herself, i am sorry.



she *finally* gains some height during stretch..

hopefully my durban is bearing her neices and nephews.

ftr i think that shot is about 2 or 3 weeks before she went down.. buds were sugary for a few weeks before her demise, so she wasn't completely green

main thing is: expect a shortie!
