Great grow and smoke report lacy. I know a few people get put off but DNA but their genetics seem to consistently speak for themselves. Enough so that I bit the bullet and got their Kushberry in veg now.

Great to hear she sparkles all around for you and serves as great meds for you.

Why do people get put off by 'em, pa_saxman? If you would...I'm not looking for a hit piece but I like to try to find out who I'm dealing with before I deal with 'em. Thanks?

Some find them a little on the arrogant side and heard complaints about their customer service a few times. There are just the two of them so I think they get a bit of a bad wrap from some of the complainers. Some of the snobbier growers like to bash them for using others work, Soma's G13 Haze for example, but the guys are completely up front about the sources in their breeding projects which is a lot more than any other breeders ever care to share. I respect that very much from them and about them as a breeding duo. In all honesty at this point in the MJ timeline you almost are always going to be using something already out there. I know I have to in my breeding creations. Parent selection and backcrossing the best pheno is the key at this point.

I've tried their LA Confidential quite a few times and it's top notch and see many, many happy growers feedback on their genetics. Was enough to convince me to try their Kushberry while I was doing some shopping a while ago.

I know you're real good people mayan so would have never assumed you were looking for a "hit piece". I completely understand your inquiry and hope what little info I've encountered helps you out. I'd say try em all

Sorry for being so winded Lacy and a bit off topic. This is your thread and I apologize. Your bud pics and awesome report are proof enough for us all! Definitely put the Choco on my short list

Thanks, pa_saxman. Great info. Yes! Suffice it to say that to there is one strain whore out there who was unable to resist the description found in this thread. (Damnit! I was trying to be so good, too!) Let's see what the stork brings within the next two weeks.

Great writeup! Looks like some awesome smoke for sure.

I love DNA's work. Big fan of their LA confidential, grows soooo easily. Fat nugs too!

Back to Lacy please ........ :

This is a great post and thank you for pointing this out. I absolutely agree with you in that there are some people out there that like to bash others about their genetics .
To claim that they didn't create their own genetics is rediculous in itself because they have to come from somewhere. They aren't man-made or anything and these people whp claim that they are using landrace strains from way back are delusional for the most part.
Not to say that these old genetics aren't still around but these days it is diffcult to claim your own creation with so many strains available.

What I don't like is breeders who take well known strains from well respected companies and put their own name on them.
Like mango and bcmango.
Now THATS cheeky.

As far as the genetics for this particular strain, the genetics from the thai stick from the '80's was kept and used to then breed with a cannalope
In my humble opnion I think this strain is a true masterpiece .

I AM a strain snob and proud of it

Thanks for all the comments and posts
I'm glad this info was put to good use.

P.S. I have to add that if you plan on growing a few of these girls then plan to have some good ventilation cause she is a stinky one

In fact, in my experience the best kickass strains I have grown ALWAYS smell extremely potent before they even start to flower and then when they do.......

look out.

I need some chocolope and I needed now.

Any suggestions where to get it from?
I do like the Doc, but I don't even know if he has it, I should check.
