i have always been interested in this strain after a friend went to the cup. She said it was her fav of the cup because it really did taste like chocolate and mango/canalope.

so has everyone that has grown it out, have you experienced this taste? i dont want to invest 12-14 wk flower time unless it really is worth it. thanks

Thanks for the ramblin Lacy...your post just brought back so many memories....(I will be 50 next year so all your comments/insights flooded back the good memories)

Back in the Day, the smoke was so awesome...I had Thai Stick in the late 70's and early 80's...it was the coolest shit...a 6 to 8" bamboo stick with the bud wrapped around the stick with some form of twine....awesome.This is the stuff exactly. You remember it too. Wasn't that the coolest? This stuff will bring back all those memories when you first try it. It really is one trippy buzz.

I alos remember that where I lived, (near Peterborough), there was a continuous flow of terrific variety....Panama red, (real red color to the buds, wicked bag appeal), Columbian Gold, and even the original Mexican was pretty good until the Paraquat scare. Also had great variety with honey oil, red hash oil, cherry oil, black hash, blonde hash and on and on....that variety just does not exist today does it....UNLESS WE MAKE OUR OWN
OMG buddy. YES panama red, columbian gold, acapulco gold, jaimaican......those were the types of weed i was puffing on back then as well.
And of course the price could not be beat....50$ for a full 4 finger ounce. I mean we had dope coming from all 4 corners of the world...truly a good thing.YES! The prices were the best. A regular bag of mid grade weed four fingers high was about $25 and the top grade was about $50 to $60 an ounce. Now to get that kind of quality you are looking at paying about $275 to $325 an oz. So growing your own top quality bud only makes sense to me also.

Precisely the reasons I got into outdoor growing about 9 or 10 years ago,(too paranoid to grow indoors because if ever caught you are done for, outdoors I can deny ownership at least). The side benefits of knowing what we smoke, saving $, and no running around for supply in addition to the enjoyment we gain growing make it all so worthwile.

Take it easy and thanks
Yep! This is why i have done most of my growing outdoors also

Camper....Happy belated BD
Yeah i said i was in my forties BUT I didn't say i looked in my forties.
Why i don't look a day over 39
I certainly DON'T look 25 or 30 like you do and not really sure i want to eitherr...lol
Wow and you remember this thai stick too
Very cool. Yes todays lifestyle might be indeed different to those days , my body might be aging BUT I am STILL a child at heart enjoying some good bud and nobody can take THAT away from me

Email...thanks for the pics
I am going to put some of mine up including the one that is completely disintegrating due to being outdoors in the sun. AGAIN this starin is NOT meant to be grown outdoors

Bryan....I'm not sure where you got the idea that this strain needs 12 to 14 weeks
I experimented with staggered harvesting to find the best harvesting time for ME! For me I would like to harvest her at about 81/2 to 9 weeks. I've flowered her for over 12 weeks and although she was a bit more potent, I also found the flavour to become a bit distorted with that length of flowering.
After a while you will be able to just look and smell the buds to know when she is ready

Nah.....I'd rather be an old fart than a baby
There really is wisdom in aging.
It REALLY isn't an old wives tale.

Here are some pics if I can now load them here today
i will give it a shot and do one at a time.
YES I DID IT!!! YIPEE!!!
Oh goodie! Now if you look closely at the leaves of the one indoors under the leds and the one outdoors, you can clearly see the difference

Hey now ... i'm not "old" age is a state of mind and my mind is definitely in a different state than I am The only part of me that feels older than the rest of me is my lower back which sadly feels more on the "elderly" side. My head on the other hand seems to think the rest of me (except the lower back) is or should still be somewhere in my teens cause I most assuredly DO NOT ACT MY AGE !!!

Have a Great day and stay as young as you can forever

p.S. Thanks Lacy for the belated BD

Good evening,

I'm more partial to the heavy high of the Indica strains rather than the light airy head high of the Sativa. Most if not all of mine seem to be sativa variety.
My quest continues ...

Have a Great night sleep well

Hi Sso, You know I was the same way until a couple of years ago. I had been purchasing weed since i was a kid and then in between growing but never knew the names of the strains. I am quite certain that i was sometimes smoking some sativas as they are a lot more cerebrial but I had no idea there was even a difference until a couple of years a go. It totally blew my mind that i had been toking for over 30 some odd years and didn't even know the difference between an indica and a sativa. Now i totally know the difference and have a great appreciation for it.
For me sometimes too many indicas can blah me out. Since they are mainly a body high I tend to get stuck in a rut if I smoke too many indicas. Adding the sativas helps elevate my mood so that doesn't happen. Then making your own custom blends is the BEST. I have never truly appreciated growing to its full extent until I started growing sativas and its many varieties and blends.
This particular one is very trippy though and at first might cause a bit of paranoia until you get used to it.
thanks for the visit Sso.

Camper.....yes you are only as old as you feel. I certainly do not act my age but quite like that part of myself. It might annoy others to no end but what the bleep........

I'm enjoying myself i agree fully that age is only a state of mind.
Of course when you are so still and sore to get up in the morning , then you may at THAT point think otherwise. Sativa indica blends are nice BUT it is also very nice having a variety of strains so you can mix the buds up right before you toke.
I got email to try this one night as he had quite a variety and he also thought it was awesome. The blends of flavours is truly intoxicating in tiself.

Blank motif......well you wuss......
sorry....just kidding
Thanks guys
When my lights come on i will show you pictures of my little tiny chocolopes that are rpresently flowering now
