Unhappy "PH" what does it stand for.

Having some problems with ph staying stable, what does the word "ph" stand for.I ask because in order to preform a search you need at least 3 letters. I will definitely write this one down.

Ask Jeeves search:

pH was originally written by Dr Sørensen as PH, and it stands for pondus hydrogenii which means "potential hydrogen" The terminology refers to acidity being due to a predominance of hydrogen ions in an aqueous (water containing) solution.

Thank you JamesGang!!

sweetsativa is beginning to sprout.

It stands for the 'Power of Hydrogen' (the most current definition to date)
One unit on the P.H. scale is called a 'Phidron'.
The rest of what was explained above is right.

There's no way around the two letter search thing, I've tried all sorts whilst researching for the Library

Try terms like, down, runoff, phos*, meter, buffer, high, low, scale, drift, raise, range
