Yeah, and as they say, ethylene is lighter than air so your technique is interesting for that. Thanks for that thread by the way, I'll surely try it for my sprouts.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was just thinking... I live enar a bunch of orchards of all kinds of fruit... it woudln't surprise me if there was ethylene already preasent in some concentrations above average in my area... Around harvest time for the apples the entire area can smell like rotten fruit and firmenting(sp?) If there was a critical time that could be pinpointed for the genetic switch for male/female I could coordinate some efforts as a studdy with possibly a group of a growers... or wait we're doing that already duhh... ![]()

![]() ![]() | About 3 weeks. The clones are at 5 weeks veg tho. Forgot to mention I have a huge ass mother I'm flowering in there too. This is kinda an experiment grow. Also tryin some flower from seed technique along with it. I'll take some pics and probably journal in a couple weeks. Should be exciting. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok. Count me in. I have 10 seedlings coming into their 2 week. Next time I'm at the store I'll pick up a bunch. I've also read about this before and there seems too much anecdotal evidence to simply dismiss it. And I'm sure bluecheese would not suggest it if she thought it would cause troubles...however, I will have a full bottle of soap spray at the ready. ![]() If this works, lets hope it becomes dogma. My grow space is quite open though. So I will put one under each plant and maybe some in bowls scattered around the area under underneath the fan. This will be interesting!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A banana under each plant should be sufficient. Ethylene is lighter than air so it rises from the banana through the plant. I do rotate the banana around the plant so that all sides get gassed. Dunno if this is necessary, but what the heck? ![]()
