Did any of you ever bother to think that maybe some people, being new or stoned :-) , may not absorb the info in the same way that someone who has grown does. It is a lot to absorb and answering a simple question or giving a post number might be helpful instead of crowing about how smart you are.

bit harsh jellied infant. few points that might help you.
1. do not feel inferior, we are all equal from the perspective of our loving plants.
2. the 'search' button used with the keyword of your topic of interest, saves a lot of reading.
3. all those 'superior ' types have links at the bottom of their blurbs to prove their worth. the 'rep' to show they are respected thru the garden
4. Lou Cypher has taken the time and effort to post a number of useful pictorials to educate the masses; very little reading. check out cloning series or the perpetual grow.
5. Pothole's tone and obsession with 'lazy people', has to be balanced against his tireless advice and posting of useful links; inquiring mind.
6. it must get pretty tiresome reading the same questions; 'what do i need to grow 10 lbs of killer weed?'; so do not judge people if they 'gently' encourage people to have a 'look around the garden, or go down that path'.

JelliedInfant, I'm not sure if this comment was directed at me, but I'll take the initiative to answer you.

No one is trying to be "superior" of another in here, and I do understand what you mean about some not be able to absorb what they read as fast as others.
You might see 39 pages of posts in this thread and sure looks overwhelming to read it all, but most of these pages are repeat answers and debates of the same Q's by different members new & old.

Yes, most of "us" we recommend reading cause it's more helpful to a member to read all the different opinions in his own pace than just wait for an answer from another member, and yet another debate.

I don't ever mean to come of sounding like I think im better than anyone... sometimes people need to read a bit more, so that they can ask questions that can be answered... but still we try to help... This is one of the friendliest sites I've been a member of... And I've been on a good number under a couple of names dating back to OG

Sorry if your feeling inferior today, but everyone's entitled to say what they please within the posting guidelines, And those "superior" people your talking about have helped countless numbers of beginners come up in the world of self reliance... But one thing i did notice is that everyone but you was taking about bananas

I did read all the posts. I did use the search. I do not remember seeing it and I got no result from the search.

$IR_$MOKE$ALOT, you are making my point for me, thank you. If you were paying attention you would have noticed my question was about ethylene gas and whether vacuum sealing the seeds and bananas together would help. No smug attitude? Sure sounds like it.

I still don't see a post number..... or a working search string.

P.S. Sorry if this is a bit harsh but this is the kind of attitudinal drivel you can find on ALL the Cannabis boards. I do appreciate the help (when I get an answer or a reference). I don't appreciate being "talked down to" and I doubt I am alone.

Edit: I did another search here and found nothing. I used Google and searched on "vacuum seal ethylene gas cannabis seeds" and came back with.... my question here but no answers.

I did find an article at https://www.usaemergencysupply.com/i...rage_55-77.htm but it does not talk about Cannabis. It would appear from this article that seed storage methods are different depending on the plant species. Some seeds are OK with O2 and others really hate it. Based on what I read though it would seem that putting the banana and seeds together would be a bad idea for a long period as the seeds would absorb moisture from the banana. That seemed to be the one thing that had a consistently negative influence on seed storage across species.

just chill out, accept the answers the way another decides to answer them. this is a board of stoners after all. if this makes you feel put down, or whatever the issue, then the situation isn't with this board my friend. you need to look at yourself and you own life.

we're not here to put up with people with bad attitudes. the attitude so as what you're claiming is bad is accepted here, whether you approve of this or not. and I can tell you with youre attitude you won't be here long.

take it easy, no ones pissed, just walk away from this, enjoy the board and all you can learn from it.

if you read the whole thread, as I did, then you didn't read it well enough. it says very clearly when the best time to put the banana's around the plants are. seeds are not plants, and although it's a great idea to gas seeds, it has no effect on the plant later. the plant needs to "breath" the ethylene.

I appreciate your reaching out and I will try to tone down my attitude. My frustration level is quite high. It is not so much that "I feel" anything. It is that I ask a question and I get everything but an answer.

Seeds were mentioned not just plants so the question is valid. I don't believe there was a concensus on the effectiveness of ethylene gas on seeds at the time of the question.
