I think I'm a believer too. Just found out the results of my experiment this time and it's a girl  I have limited space and was real antsy about startin one of the new seeds I ordered so I just started one. I put the bananna under it from like week one, like 3rd or 4th node then started budding at like day 26 from sprout and it was 14 inches tall. Kept the bananna under there until I seen hairs, just cause it was still good don't know if it helped.I tried this last round with four plants that I wanted to be female and I got 3 out of 4 to be female, but I only used 3 banannas. I will continue to use this method and report here on my results. | ||

I love an experiment, so my reserva privada seedlings have banana peels around the base... 9 standard seedlings, mixed genetics. The peels started to get added at 2.5 weeks, which I know is a shade late, but it happens.  They are under a 600w MH conversion, 14hrs of light, 50% humidity, 17*-25*C night/day temp range, and standard GH 3 part nutes, as per veg cycle (NPK highest in N). Hygrozyme and friendly biota, plus a drop of some seaweed product.. I'd kind of expect 4 out of 7 anyway.... and not be surprised by 2/7 or 6/7. Lets wait & see  | ||

Ok, here some piccies at last... Just a few days separate the growth, and the bigger space is now at 14hrs light a day. No sign of sex anywhere yet (Whats new eh? )Don't know why they pics won't upload... Maybe the internet shop who's wifi I'm piggybacking has a setting to block it.. D/K.. | Hi BC......... all new to this but my mentor is doing the same thing now that you are doing . influencing reg seeds to b female with the banana... i dont no the results of his as yet but ile put him on to this for you....... B SAFE HIGH TIME....! | ||

| I haven't got any pics, and I thought I'd already posted back here.. of the seedlings selected for flower, 5 of 7 were female. Over 70%... I'm not bouncing around full of the joys of spring though, as I've had to chop, for security reasons. I still have a tray of cuttings, but not of all the seedlings...  But.... as far as the banana religion is concerned, I am a confirmed follower. What is there to lose? Heck, just eat your bananas, and toss the skins under your seedlings for a couple of weeks...  | ||
