I want to thank all of you who are trying this experiment. I won't be able to try it again for years as my plans are to make f2's of evey strain on my list - so I need males. This is the only way it could be tested on a wide scale & I thank you.

I'm glad to see the positive responses!

We threw one in with our seedlings last night. Two are 3 weeks old today, the other four are around a week.

It has ABSOLUTELY NO ROOF. You can keep on smoking it and getting higher and higher and higher up to no limit until you're so tripped out that you're seeing quadruple and the body buzz has you quaking so badly you can't hold the bong steady enough for long enough to take another hit. It is at this moment when you know you're truely and completely stoned.

Okay, these are the results we get so far from our meta-analysis.

Females: 4+2+2+3+2+2=15 (93,8%)
Males: 1 (6,2%)
Of course, this is biased in many ways but... it's interesting anyways isn't it? Please let us know if you get males, though.

pTw3LL: what about the 2 other plants?

We should confirm with all of those results that:

1) They were not using feminized seeds

2) They were not using bagseed

3) Lighting/heating conditions were optimal during the grow

But for the most part the numbers look amazingly good

Nope - that's the beauty of the deal - SIMPLICITY! I couldn't care less if lighting was optimal, etc. - that's NOT the point.

The point is:

Just put a banana down during weeks 3 & 4 and get a female.

Nothing else to it - get it?

It is a very simple thing to do, and I like that

I am not positive if you are interested in a somewhat
reliable guess of exactly how well it works.
But, if you are trying to get statistics on it's rate of success,
the recordings should be accurate.

Perhaps another thread would be in order that
was a 'stats only' thread with a poll?

I'm not looking for stats - leave that to the egg-heads. The positive anecdotes are simply encouragement for more people to try this. I already know it works. Why? Because there are commercial products out there that already increase ethylene.

I'm proud that I've not only found a cheap way to produce females, but I shared it with the rest of you guys. As a matter of fact, I went out of my way to share it. If you'd read my journals, I started using bananas last March.

I don't need a study Matrim & BTW I'm sure it works on bagseed too.
