OMG OMG OMG. i have the solution to americas weight problem. all we need to do is find out how to grow legal plants with thc in them and everybody would eat their fruits and veggies lol but then some jackass would make cows produce thc and we would all be eating pot burgers and be even fatter haha

how about we inject all living things with dna that makes them produce thc, we'd have lettuce that would get you high, milk and cheese that would give you a buzz, steak that puts you to sleep, not to mention coca plants that get you stoned and geeked at the same time.

Sorry to burst the fantasy bubble here, but I think there is a slight misunderstanding about how genetic engineering works.

Genetic engineering is basically taking a gene that exists in one organism and putting in another usually totally unrelated organism. So bTCorn is corn with a bacteria gene that produces a pesticide in it, so less pesticide must be used on the crop because the plant produces its own. Other genetically engineered crops such as round up ready soy and corn are given a gene that allows them to be resistant to round up pesticide, so the crop can be doused in pesticide and only the weeds are killed.

How would one use that technology to do any of these things?

"-Grows perennially - Same plant comes back year after year. Great of outdoor remote locations. Just trim it back in the spring and let it go.
-Grows large using very little nutes.
-Super resistant to drought, bugs and diseases.
-Maximize resin & trichome production"

Now putting the THC gene into other plants may be a possibility... but you'll still have to smoke it... keep it out of the grass

I did say to make hash out of the grass clippings, not smoke the clippings.

I'm surprised they arn't able to alter specific dna helix's, you know, take a chromosome out here add one from this thing over to that spot and so on......
