Who would have thought a literal world revolution would have humble Internet roots? Anyways, I'll be sure to check GreenPassion occasionally to see how things are going, and thanks again for stopping over here and giving your input.

. Sorry I haven't posted but I've been lurkin'.Just wanted to touch a little on this since I happen to read a little while ago and didn't agree. So I suffer from anxiety and feel that sativas are better for me than indicas and i'll tell you guys why. When someone says anxiety you just cant classify it as one thing since there are 7 forms of anxiety. I suffer from the PTSD from my time in Iraq and due to getting blown up and receiving frag in my leg. Also once in a while I will freak out and get panic attacks(a different form of anxiety). When I get these panic attacks I'll start freaking out within my self, not really in my head. My subconscious will speed up while my thougths in my head are still somewhere in the back trying to catch up. This is when i'll start to panic. At this point is when the sativas come into play. Since they are more heady, racey, more upbeat they help my mind relax and help it catch up to what ever is going on within myself, causing me to relax and be calm once i'm all leveled out, sorta. This was all IMHO. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry to hear about the shrapnel and anxiety issues. I can relate to the separation of subconscious from everyday thoughts, and the resulting anxiety. Agree with you that sativa is a good tool, for speeding up your everyday thoughts enough; so that they can catch up and talk some sense to the subconscious. lol Any anxiety that people experience with sativa, is given by people's subconscious anxiety about taking their heads into hyperdrive, [ a fear of the high] not the drug itself. Educating people about the actual effect on their thoughts, not just their bodies, will help overcome the 'fear of the high' in those patients not familiar with mj. I feel that we may find in time, that sativa is the cure for the mind, and indica a cure for the body? Good luck with it, realizing why you are anxious is a major step forward in feeling less anxious. best wishes nigel

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think a lot of it also has to do with how you have premeditated the feeling to be. if you're expecting the worst, you'll get it, so to say. a group of people will sit and smoke the same joint, one person gets sleepy, one goofy, the other aggressive and his friend can't stop flappin. from the same smoke? some people can smoke endless amounts of ganja and never be too stoned, or at least even when they are too stoned, they think 'woah, I'm reeeeally fuckin high.' for an hour or so, lol. others get too stoned if they take a bong hit. just my experience, but I think at least a big portion of it is what you make of it before hand. are you nervous to try it? do you think it's going to fuck you up? do you want to feel fucked up? or do you want it to take a load off? some say it doesn't help for pain, my wife says it makes it worse...? me, that's the only pain med I use. I guess a bit of a repeat from what nigel said now that I re-read it. when I started I was sure I was saying something different though. ![]() just my thougths, but maybe thats why it worked as so many medications back in the day, because you knew it was to right stuff for that area, and it gives that little extra to help get the job done. just my thoughts. you can mold it to what you need. not to say that you can will your mind to make your indica stone a sativa high, just that you can always make it what you'd like, regaurdless of the effect. thanks for keeping the threads going, I'm not much input, but I'm waiting for some first hand experience. actually, my right hand and its wart. lol ![]() -Matt

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes realizing what is making you anixious is a major step, and it was a hard one for me. It took me a long time to realize what was going on with me. I was making myself so anxious it started affecting me physically. I was always at the GI department getting tested and getting all these medications which weren't even helping, IMO probably making the situation worse. Finally I read up on medical cannabis, learned and researched indicas/sativas figured out what I needed and so far I feel better with MJ than anyother medication I was prescribed.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | look forward to seeing what happens with your wart; i agree that mindset has a lot to do with it; and i think there may be physiological differences too, basics like body weight, to how individual heads are wired and shaped. What strain gets me bent; often does nothing for my friend, and visa versa. Funny thing about anxiety thegangasmoke, is it's natural; so there is no ultimate cure or escape. Just a balance between real and imagined things to be anxious about. Anxiety is the instict of self preservation and the basis of our social life; worrying about danger and what other people will think, is how human's survive. mj medication is interesting in the context of it's social stigma; for a non stoner patient there would be the anxiety about social stigma [and possibly illegality] that reinforces and makes stronger any anxiety about using a drug. Like Matt said, negative headspace= negative experience. Education is the key, but having to overcome a lifetime of anti mj propaganda is the challenge, to overcoming the doubts leading to anxiety in patients. lol nigel

just me, no offense to anyone, but I've never understood medicating anxiety. psychology uses medication for it easily. but in my opinion it's kind of like being sick. you'll have a sore throat, but that's because of the sickness, the sore throat is not your sickness. you can keep sucking on a mint, and it'll be manageable, but you need to get rid of the sickness before you'll really feel better. mj will most likely not help anxiety, especially if you've got any kind of aversion to the drug. another repeat clear your 'headspace'. meditate. change your surroundings to something more calm. look at your daily lifestyle, and by all means, if you can't get over it, make sure to seek help. be careful trying mj for anxiety though, it's not known for making people less paranoid/anxious. lol -Matt
