![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Luci, Thanks for the update, I only wish it was a happier one for you. Its very admirable for all you have done to try to help your Dad. You really did your best, and that ALL you can ever do! Just know that 4 sure. Treasure these last moments with your Dad, and listen to EVERY WORD! That is really the only thing we can do right now, and its what they really want! Don't dwell on the fact that you feel like you don't know your dad, Treasure the time you have getting to know him. Everyone has thier own preconcieved notions about what they believe Marijuana to be. Its really sad that so many of us are really blind to the world infront of us? I feel your stuggles as I just witnessed my Husbands uncle die a painful death with cancer. It ate his stomach up before they noticed. By the time they relized what was going on, the pain was unbearable. Knowing what this was able to do for my Dads pain, I struggled with this knowledge. Having the belief you could help someone, but not having the materials necessary is hard! Hubs uncle was a proud service man who lived his life for our country and took pride in being a law abiding citizen. He wanted to live, but didnt want to break the law in the process? This to me is OUTRAGEOUS! But I respect the thoughts of others and the issue/treatment was never pushed. It was -according to the doctors- too late to help him. All they could offer him was morphine to relive the pain. He knew his heart was bad, and that the morphine would be his death, so he held off for as long as possible. 3 days in pain was all he could take so he asked for the morphine before bed. He never woke back up. He knew this would be the case, but he didnt want to be in pain. Its SOOO Sad to talk to someone who is staring death in the face, and they dont want to die. What do you say when they are against ANYTHING illegal? Thanks for the consern with my Dad. It really does suck to be taken for your cash. It makes you really re-think alot of things, and think different about alot of people. I try not to let 1 bad experience overshadow the wonderful things we were able to experience. While it's not possible for my Dad to obtain another treatment right now, We DO have the knowledge now to make this a reality for him. Its taking a little bit of time, but it WILL happen. Thank God my Dad and I are able to successfully make this happen. Thanks to THIS SITE, I have learned enough to grow the best smoke in my area ( unless you want to pay $4-$600.00 per oz) and with that, I KNOW we will be able to make him some meds! Growing an entire pound at once was not in my immediate goals, but with the set backs we faced, we just need to make it happen! At best, I was hoping for 4-6 oz. per harvest, now we know we need to step up our game. We are not risking growing all of this at 1 place, and we have decided to set up 2 seperate places to get him as many meds as quick as possible. Having a family in my home, I am really taking every percaution I can to make sure I do not exceed a limit that I could get into TOOO much trouble for. Thats why we opted to split the grow between 2 houses. We are waiting on his additional equiptment right now. We were fortunate enough that he could still afford to buy equiptment after draining his savings for the oil. We are just trying to turn every sour situation into a learning experience instead of a bad experience? Thanks again for all your prayers, and conserns. It really means alot to us! So how about anyone else... Any good repotrs from anyone? Blue, did you ever get your tests back? How bout you jungleofden? I read on another site that you are having WONDERFUL results along with your wife. Is this still the case? If so, PLEASE LET US KNOW! Happy Healing, JointGirl

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah Lacy, I got my test results back and they were good. Not much noticable difference in the cholosterol, but the triglicerides did drop some. However my diabetes, which is not very bad anyway was great! Quote:
for most diabetics.I can't say whether it is smoking MJ or eating the oil that made the difference. ![]() I'm on meds for diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure & bipolar. I won't stop taking those meds - I use the BHO as an add-on.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Blue, I'm glad to hear that your results were good! That is GREAT! I'm glad to hear of your good results with the BHO. I was wondering how the BHO would work in comparrison to the other oils. The BHO ooks easy enough to do, I am just having a time finding some good clean butane. I hit up 3 tabacco shops so far, along with the home depot and lowes, and all the carry are the brands I was warned to stay away from (Bernzomatic, and bransom) these have added ingrediants that are not good for ya I guess? I am looking for tripple distilled, or Pure butane and was hoping NOT to have to order it online? Looks like I might have to do the internet shopping after all? What ever the case, at least I know its a good option to have! I have a few OZ's put back for the butane. I plan on making my own tube (looked easy enough?) We just purchased some Naptha too. We've had alot of rain in the last week, so we havent been able to get outside to experiment yet. I still have not had any luck locating the 99% iso either. I have asked Walmart Pharmacy to order me some, but they can only get 91%. Does anyone know if this would be just as good? What would be the difference in the oil using 99% VS. 91%? Anyone Know? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I buy butane online - it is refined 5 times - here. I buy 10 bottles at a time, and the package fits in my mailbox. As for ISO, the lower percentage means more impurities. I tried ISO hash once and did not like it. But I know people who swear by it!

all the way, JJG... the other 9% of the 91proof is basically water which will uptake more greenness and will change the evaporation process it just doesn't work rightnaptha is an excellent solvent choice but depending on how it was refined it may contain serious carcinogens i wish i knew more about naptha and good brands, but i'ma still digging on that and i'd like to know if you find anythink out ...or go for the clean butane such as bluecheese suggested... BHO is a thicker consistency than ISO-honey... which is kinda why they call it budder lol cuz it ranges from the consistency of hard cold butter to sticky 'sat on the counter all day' kinda butter BHO's not 'oily'... but thick and generally solid... it's not quite as easy to mix thoroughly into heated fats or ingest thru fatty skin cells as the thinner honey-oils tho it makes a great toke ... plus, because BHO is part solvent and part hyercritical CO2 extraction at extreme pressure and low temperature there are speculations that butane processes are incomplete extractions and the product may not contain all the significant cannabinoids ![]() P3n

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Way, Are you saying that there is almost NO difference in the 91% VS. 99% Iso? Please forgive me if this is a silly responce, but I'm not quick on fancy words negligible JointGirl

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | and that 8% difference of water makes a huge difference in the chemistry the water allows a lot more green to be absorbed and changes the rate of evaporation by raising the boiling point...the water is last to evaporate and the canna-oil is more likely to burn or otherwise degrade before evaporation is complete IMO, it's better to use a butter extraction than use 91% isopropyl as a solvent ![]() P3n
