i never get an asthma attack like when first i got it. a time i was not smoking.even not smoking now, i rarely notice the asthma, and when i do, i only hear it, a slight wheezing thats almost undetectable.
(always less and less down the years.)

by the way, i am smoking hash now, before i was smoking some hybrid sat ind.

this hash though fine in many ways, is far less efficient at suppressing the effects of my cold. i still cough bit, though the hash does help some.

the bud completely got rid of all coldsymptoms. till it wore off.

(although ive been getting better each day from the cold, the timeframe is too short to make any claims of healing, but the asthma getting rather better over the years, might be indicative of healing power, though i do use various breathtechniques and yoga as well.and have always had strong lungs.that i trained diving as young.)

cure or not cure, if i cant feel my symptoms and dont have any unpleasant sideeffects to deal with. thats superduper in of itself.

and it seems obvious that different mj, sativa or indica, does help with different things, makes you wonder about ruderalis, but it seems also that even strains within the 3 types, hold different healing properties.

although cold is uncurable so far and this of lesser importance, it is interesting to note that.

the hybrid bud that completely eliminated the symptoms of cold, had both a up and a down to it. both a soaring high and an almost debilitating couchlock.

the hash that doesnt work very well, its obviously a indica, it does not have much of a high, just that pleasant couchlock, though to note, there might be impurities in this hash or it might be old and improperly stored, probably the latter, the high is slightly off, it gives you a slight headache as it wears off and also bit heavy in the head.

(too much cbn in comparison?)

i wonder if 50/50 hybrids might not be better all in all, at least for some things. but we know so little about it yet.

still we have come a long way, especially ..considering the heavy opposition.

Thumbs up Another Update
permalink

Heres another update/testimonial from someone at another site who has used the oil topically...

Just got my WA prescription for MM this spring, first thing we did was make the Rick Simpson oil with 1 lb leaves + 1 oz bud, using isopropyl alcohol. Have already seen it work on 2 people with pre-cancerous lesions on nose, and healed 2 people's misc. minor skin lesions (that had not
healed for years). This stuff is great! Plus friends look funny when they leave with dark green goo smeared on their nose, but with a big baked smile!

Growing 6 plants outdoors for next batch of oil, going to use 90 proof Everclear.

Caution: Did not followed Rick's instructions about make outside with ricecooker, the first batch was on the kitchen stove, and yes it exploded all over the kitchen, but nobody got hurt. So be careful (note to self).

oh here is another bit of interest.

in between the hybridbud and the hash, i smoked some of the lowest (tiny, little light) leaves on my plants. mostly leaves, tiny budlet in each.

these are plants about 2 weeks into flowering, maybe 3, i forget

and the high is not fully realised, but these leaves (no crystals) relieved the cold symptoms far more efficiently than the hash does (though the leaves are strong enough to get you about as high in about 2 tokes more)

the leaves come from hybrid plants, perhaps leaning a bit more to the sativa side.

so yea most legitimized medical treatments are focused on alleviating symptoms, rather than targeting the cause of illness-- so i do not quite understand why it should be considerably more controversial if this is also the case for cannabinoids

cure or not cure, if i cant feel my symptoms and dont have any unpleasant sideeffects to deal with. thats superduper in of itself.

my asthma has not landed me in the hospital once since i started toking daily and i have needed less pharmaceutical interventions over the years too not even my senile doc is able to deny that

in regards to asthma and other respiratory illnesses, there are immediate bronchodilator and expectorant effects of inhalation {and some extra irritation if smoke is involved},
but with repeated use there are also some longer term anti-spasmodic changes involved {to the elasticity of lung tissue, for example} that are akin to the long-term effects attributed to brief rounds of intravenous corticosteroid treatments for acute attacks and the evolution of daily low-dose corticosteroid inhalations for managing chronic lung conditions--
allegedly prescribed as anti-inflammatories, corticosteroids are considered most effective for remission when combined with brochodilators but they do not 'cure' asthma either

so other properties and effects aside it's reasonable enough IMO to consider the potential benefits of cannabis as a combined bronchodilator, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and expectorant for managing respirary illness ...as noted, cannabinoids do not have to be injested thru smoking either vapourizing and edible consumption are widely considered to reduce the harmful effects
...of curs, clinical tests of canna comparable to those done for corticosteroid and bronchodilator treatments would be most helpful for clarifying the mechanisms of effects and the particular roles of cannabinoids in chain reactions of health behaviors
but for now i cannot say for certain whether a patient using cannabis may be psychoactively deluded into feeling temporarily 'cured' and making dramatic health conscious alterations to their lifestyle or whether that same patient might be experiencing restorative side-effects such as increased metabolism and appetite, restful sleep or
less painful mobility to engage in exercise

i don't yet own a vapourizer, so when i catch a respiratory infection i like to put a drop each of camphor and eucalyptus oil in my bongwater and pretend it's canna scented Vicks vapo

it tastes absolutely awful but i swear it helps and i do seem to suffer less and get over colds faster than those who can't/won't try my extra-medicated bong hahaha
maybe it's just cuz i'ma not getting it passed back as much
or maybe it's the extra motivation to repeatedly inhale deeply the Vicks-ish aromatherapy that is also designated as a folk medicine, but has gone thru enough trials and well enough understood that it's a staple in many households and very few are likely to dangerously misuse it by swallowing it anymore no kidding! just a generation ago it was actually quite common to ingest tablespoons of metholyptus petroleum ewwwwwww!

pure camphor oil is actually contraband in my country cuz it's "too toxic" lmlao but i'ma not keen on Buckley's cough syrup at all in my bongwater, or not
my extra-medicated bong tastes awful
but not quite that bad lol

as far as i understand it, the various healing properties of different strains are associated with different proportions of the cannabinoids each strain tends to produce... the list of cannabinoids and their levels in a particular plant or strain is called a cannabinoid profile...
and there do tend to be significant differences in the profiles of different strains, but also between phenotypes of the same strain and between plants of the same phenotype at different development stages... and there do tend to be similarities among sativa types and among indica types-- ie. the general rule of thumb that indicas=couchlock and sativa=energetic cerebral effects--
but there are also notable crossovers of these general rules between species and hybrids
i'ma not sure that ruderalis itself is known for its capacity for cannabinoid production at all tho-- i think it tends to be selectively bred with sativa and/or indicas mainly cuz of its propensity to autoflower and other growth characteristics... but i think it's possible, and an extremely interesting proposition, that ruderalis genes may augment the cannabinoid expression of other genotypes in hybrid strains

unfortunately, other than cannabinoid profiling there seems to be no better way to test for specific properties and mutations than trial and error
-- but from my perspective that's really not such a terrible proposition either and i can enjoy a constructive collaboration too

On my 4th week of oil, I ahd to reduce dosage, but take it more often, then the jitters seem to go away. I am sleeping better then I can remember in the last 3 years, sooo that's good, I still don't sleep during the day, but I wish I could nap so I would stay up later at night. Today was 3rd day of Proton Therapy, I think it makes me tire early. Only 25 treatments of that left.
I don't know what stran exactly I use, I will check on that, all I know is that it is Sateva
I will keep updating...

JointGirl, no I am not on the oil at the moment. I have had enough of the cancer lumps and I have booked for the Laser treatment, starting on 12th Oct. for 5 days. My lump which was always the largest one, has been reduced by about half. I credit this to the hemp oil, but in the meantime another lump came up, so that's why I'm gonna go for the Laser. When I come back, I shall have to find employment, and I cannot be on hemp oil while I will be working.

Thumbs up Encouraging Updates!
permalink

Hello Everyone. Just updating thhis thread with some encouraging news from a few people who's on the treatment. The first update comes from "IronMan". He is a member at greenpassion and he has picts on the hemp oil thread there to go along with his updates. CHECK EM OUT! They are Unbelievable!...

Started by Ironman - Last post by Ironman
I have skin cancer. I have treated, and cured two lesions on the right side of my forehead, and one on the right side of my neck, just below the ear, one on the right side of my face in front of the ear. I am now treating five more lesions one on the top of my head. This particular lesion was surgicaly removed 20yrs ago, but returned. Two on the back of my head right, and left occipital area. Two above, and in front of my right ear. I have made my family physician aware of what I am doing. He has been observing the progress of my treatment, and has NOT told me to stop. In fact he asked me to suspend treatment for a month to see how things progress with treatment. I agreed to do so. I visited another physician, and described the two lesions on my forehead, how long I had treated these lesions, and exactly what that treatment was. I asked him to take a very close look at my forehead, and tell me what he thought. After he examined the area VERY closely the first words out of his mouth were, and I quote, "It's a Miracle".

The next update comes from a friend I met while on this Healig Journey. She is a member here too- Judi b3.

My husband has been so negative about this whole thing. He's been programmed : MJ is a crock of s**t, just a coverup for users--- until this week when a terminal patient with only 6mths max to live gave the doctors proof - who I might add were SHOCKED and so was I and the others working with this patient as in ONLY 2mths the cancerous lymph nodes responsible for the building of fluid in the lungs were GONE. HAD BEEN RESOLVED were the Oncologists words... after seeing this in black and white with a Specialists Report, my husband has done a 360 degree turn around... (There was other great news as well but we can only give the basics due to patient privacy and our cancer research we have been undertaking. All I can say now is for anyone who is sick.... TAKE THE OIL... IT WORKS!!! Mind you there are alot of facts to go into the oil : The Strain, The Agricultural Side and the The Medical and with great sites like this we can share that info...

Judi emailed me with some wonderful news. She is in the process of emailing me and a few others some medical records with PROOF of what this oil has done so far! I dont know exactly what will be in these records, or what she will post about this patient, but I did ask her to return to this site and make an update herself. We'll see what happens?
