Maybe in a perfect world if you properly "use" MJ it might be some kind of preventative. It is a preventative for me in the sense that it has kept me from going loco.

But you have to think about all the toxins in our daily life to be to just "wash" all that away by smoking?? I don't see it.

You can't drink or eat out of certain plastics because it leaches this chemical or that chemical.......

Don't use this soap or that deodorant because it has some weird chemical, which doesn't cause cancer over night but, if you use it all your life then well you just doubled your chances.

Don't spend too long outside because excess sun exposure causes cancer. Don't breathe the air because there's more airborne toxins there.

If you are going to get cancer it more than likely will happen whether we like it or not. Good luck with that and maybe sooner or later something magical will happen.........

True that. My dad now has lung cancer from working in plastics plants for the last 20'somethin' years. Here in the next few months I'll be moving in with him so we can start an under the radar medical grow Then I can upgrade everything to what I want and hopefully help the Pappy at the same time!

I can afford to claim that it helps cure or even prevent brain cancer, can't say nothing about any other form of cancer though, so live healthy, smoke MJ ( preferably with a vaporizer), don't smoke cigarettes and your chances are good...

Man, I know people that never smoked anything a day in their life. They ate healthy, exercised almost daily and died of lung cancer.

I know people that drink like fish, never exercise and hardly brush their teeth. they are healthy, no cavaties and not overweight.

I think its almost all genetic with a touch of environment.

Pesci, the first group of these people were eating microwaved food, a lots of high protein chemically engineered products, worried about their health constantly and they were taking way too many vitamins.

The second group with the bad teeth, eat raw foods, never used anything that was bottled, drunk water from the tap, drunk enough alcohol to kill any kind pest, and most of all didn't give a shit, thus they didn't have any stress, No 1 killer for all of " you" civilized people.

Genetics never had to do anything with lung cancer, is just that people who smoke cope a little better with the pollution that they breath daily.

So puff your blunds and suck your bongs, cause sooner or later, all of you will die eventualy, and I'll be waiting for your souls, sinners.

smoking mj as a preventative... wtf

Exclamation cancer and weed: notes from a survivor

I am 68 and have smoked mj for 45 years every day. I am also a vegan who eats organic food. I used to smoke cigs but stopped at 40. Today, I am pretty damn healthy and strong and grow my own.

However, a few years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I tried all the alternative treatments I could afford for a solid year but it didn't help. Finally, I went back to my regular urologist, who used the Da Vinci robotic assistant to remove my prostate. All tests for over a year (psa tests) indicate no prostate cancer at all. So I guess I am cured. It was not fun. But I am delighted to be alive.

So organic food, vegan diet, mj daily---I got cancer. I suggest that before people on this thread sound off on some "information" they read or heard, they think twice. I have already read false info on this thread. Here is my advice: don't believe anything you read on a thread by a layman (except me). You should be getting medical advice from trained doctors.

Recent studies showed that marijuana in a dish can slow the metastasis of cancer cells. It did not show it could cure them. I don't know, but perhaps my cancer was restrained by my smoking from metastisizing and spreading to kill me. Maybe it did harm. I do not know. Doctors don't know. I follow the advice of Dr Koop, former Surgeon General, and use a bong to cool the smoke so it won't do so much harm.

But please don't give your two cents worth on medical issues if in fact you are ignorant as a door knob, as almost all of us are.

OK! I give! I now smoking is bad, worded this one wrong.

What's this about hemp oil killing cancer cells and making new ones???????? Where did this come from? I just started my dad on Hemp Oil yesterday for his cancer. I don't want to kill him!!!??

I was hoping that regular MJ users have all the properties of MJ circulating in their body. i was hoping the cancer cold be halted my these before it ever starts. Hemp Oil is super powered concentrated MJ and has the same properties!

It makes sense that if Hemp Oil kills cancer (more likely the CBD in the oil and MJ) that regular use will have the body primed and ready to pounce on the cancer as it ties to move in.

I hope my oil for dad works. I seldom get checked. Health Insurance doesn't pay for this until I cross 45. Blasted Morphine will wipe me out before then.

SO much for prevention and logic. Dangit.

Thats a good thing man.

There is a thread in here about hemp oil and Rick Simpson, who along with a lots of his patients swear that this oil taken regularly can actually cure some cancers.
You might want to watch his video also, very interesting stuff.

Most people smoke ganj when they imbibe it. Smoked anything, hell eating smoked meat= carcinogenic.

So, my friend a 25year+ smoker, was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer that has metastisized to the liver. She smoked every day the whole time. She still does. If she lives another year at this point, we'll all be thankful.
