| i have been accused of flaming and im not sure what the difference between expressing an opinon and flaming is.i never try to offend someone,but sometimes in the process of expressing my opinons and beliefs i might.george carlin understands what im getting at.controlling expression is controlling thought and neither is helpful.i dont like all of what people say nor do i agree,but does that mean theyre flaming?im a little confused as too what im allwed to say in this site and what im not.hopefully one of the moderators can enlighten me as too what is ok to say and what isnt. thanx,smokedoc | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Flaming involves a post that insults other members and will draw responses in kind. In other words, trying to incite a a childish name calling episode. We are not in the habit of controlling thought or expression, that is censorship and we most certainly are not in favor of that. What we do want is a civilized exchange of thoughts and ideas; this is called a discussion. While you might think George Carlin would understand you, I feel just as strongly that Mr. Carlin can tell the difference between humor and insults. If you wanted to chose a comedian to support your position you should've chosen Don Rickles, although I'm sure he knows the difference too. Feel free to post to any thread you feel you can contribute to constructively, but please refrain from insulting the other members. Toke it easy, Pan. | ||
