I just ordered a plant hormone called EZ-Shoot. I'm getting the idea that the way this stuff works is this...

Make a small scratch on the stem of your plant, then apply this chemical to the scratched part. In a few days, a branch will appear. This would help create more space for buds.

This hormone would help greatly in outdoor plants. It could create a large bush effect in a small amount of time.

Has anybody used this yet?

How mand buds can your plant support? If you want to settle for smaller buds you can continue pinching off terminal growth. If you're outdoors when do you stop? If you pinch too soon prior to onset of flower the terminal buds will be small. I always leave 4-6 main bud sites unpruned all summer. I do most pruning in mid June in NY State. I always supply water on food after outdoor pruning

If you use a high P during the plants life you will double the number of budding sites and increase the size of the flowers.

It all depends on the way you are trying to grow, you are talking about an indoor type operation where the only budsite to be concerned with is the top cola.

When large plants outdoors develop many budsites the size of each cola will be less, but the yield of that specific plant will be much more than what the top cola would have been, had it been flowered early. This hormone could help a grower get a much larger plant for maximum yeild.

They're not responding to it the way I thought they would. No new shoots have appeared. Its not working the way it said it would.

BUT

It did have a super cool side effect. After a BRUTAL pruning and topping session I spread this stuff on the wounds of the plants. They experienced absolutly no shock and all of them began regrowth s usual in 2-4 days.
