![]() | I just came up with this theory... If every home grower kills all the males, the hermies are the only plants that occasionally get to release pollen. So these seeds are most likely also hermies. As many people out there in US plant mostly bag seeds or seeds they got from their friends etc., the hermies will eventually take over all the grow rooms & outdoor patches. This is my theory. The evolution favors hermies, because they are almost the only ones ever to reproduce.

![]() | Not all females. I think it's something to do with the environment and probably the strain, but can't be sure. It would be quite perfect, if there was some environmental variable by which I could make my ladies pollinate themselves whenever I want, so I could get all-female seeds. I'm now pollinating my ladies on purpose, but just some branches.. don't know yet if I'll go the "mum & clones" way after the next crop.

![]() | There is a chemical that I read about that will make a 100% female (you know what i mean)produce male flowers. I think it's like gerbaltic acid or something like that and you have to apply it at the right time. This is all from a HT article you might want to see if you can get an answer fgrom there web site.

![]() | From my experience an reading, hermaphrodites are so ,genetically....yes,stress can 'turn' a female, but i still reckon it Always had the potential, then.I pulled out 2 a coupla days ago,an now,i have found 2 more girls more than half way thru flowerin, are pushing out male flowers thru their dual sex pods.BUMMER,i say! However,i was losing the battle BADLY with the bigger 2 i pulled, these 2 are a lttle more conrollable...(so far!)And,the seeds from hermies are Never all female,in my exp.always hermie OR female...50/50.With NO males around, pure females MAY produce a flower or 2 to pollinate themselves, but my good gals have Never grown clusters, juz not in 'em genetically.........................IMO,anyways,cya![]()

![]() | the dyke seeds change faster than straight seeds. The dyking process just makes it tempory. What better way to stop the pot grower than dyke seeds. It only takes one dimwitted moron to pass out seeds he thinks are from normal plants. The world of dykes grows at a log rate. To prove the point ask seed growers for guarnteed non hermie plants. In fact ask a seed grower for a gurentee of any kind. Its the pig in the poke thing. O yea if that dimwitted moron lets the pollen get in the air how far can the nark's(female/female) pollen go miles.

![]() | lensman Junior Gardener You wrote: all females have the cappability to be hermie, if there are no males around they take matters into their own hands so to speak at least i read that somewhere.. **********8 I can't imagine how. I mean how would the females possibly know that there are no males around? Are the plants constantly communicating their presence with each other? If so, then the only way to avoid all hermies under this theory is to allow everything to go to seed - which is fine if that's what you want, I guess.

I read somewhere (HT?) that all female seeds have nothing to do with hermaphrodites. A Holland grower lets his female plants flower far beyond maturity, and then pollinates them. I guess the trick is to keep the plant alive and in flower long enough for her to make seeds. This is purely from my fuzzy memory so take it for that... Smokin
