| Florinal, the hormone which is believed to produce flowering in plants when the critical photoperiod is reached, is easily translocated to all parts of the plant. A very small amount of plant material must be exposed to the correct duration of darkness in order to produce enough florinal to induce flowering in the entire plant. When a few leaves are isolated and given the proper amount of light to induce flowering, the entire plant would flower. Florinal can easily be translocated between plants which are grafted together. The benefit of this would be that if a portion of the plant could be isolated and given 12 hours of light, the entire plant could flower. Hmmm........"food for thought" EX----- | ||

A prescription drug http://www.departments.dsu.edu/perso.../narcotics.htm http://www.hmts.com/terminology.htm Don't you mean Florigen? http://www.rrz.uni-hamburg.de/biolog...e30/30c.htm#01 The MJ plant does not do what you are suggesting but just the opposite. Only the areas of the plant that are covered for 12/12 or the like will start to show sex (photoperiodism) and the rest of the plant will remain in a normal veg growth pattern. This is one way to early sex your plants without interrupting their growth. It is excellent for determining sex for outdoor plants where one really has almost no control over the lighting schedule.
