I heard some where that to force a plant to be female you can use birth-control pills. Does anyone know if this really work's?

nope, won't work.

plants and people have different hormones. It has been postulated that soaking seeds in ethylene before germination can increase the odds of being female. I have yet to see a study that proves this though.
