Hey all!!

I got a problem....

Where i live they sell weed with ammonia on it....
Even though its a great high I d like to know how to get the ammoniak out....

amonia is basically pee, the smell you get after it sits for awhile is the amonia that comes from urine without much oxygen, I wouldn't smaok anything with high concentrates of amonia, it isn't good for you, that's why we have to flush out girls before we harvest.. don't want all that bad stuff.. go with something more clean..

I believe the ammonia is released from decomposing plant material as well... So if that dope is old and has been packaged and shipped from who knows where it could be decomposing from improper drying methods, excessive moisture, etc etc get the idea?

I have also seen this happen to pot that has been compressed then steamed to fluff it back up and "look" more sellable

There is really now way of getting it out that I know of .... if someone does does please share

they actually steam pot back up? I never heard of that.. but I'd believe it. I am not sure about the decomposing of the plants, I figured that would be moldy? either way I wouldn't smoke anything that smells like amonia or anything other then... well weed..

Are you sure it is ammonia? How do you know? I used to live in a place where people would lace their bags with embalming fluid (formaldehyde and paraformeldehyde) which can smell a little like ammonia. Make sure that isn't it. Otherwise if it is just ammonia, you may be able to wash it off with water, but that would suck because then you have to dry it out.
Tell those kids to quit putting ammonia on the herb, it doensn't help. Not to mention, if there was any isgnificant amount of chlorine in the water they mixed the ammonia with, you have yourself mustard gas.

right on BG. I agree, it isn't meant to have anything in it but what you grow it with, and it would be unsafe to smoke.. yuk!

Yep they do that to the MexiSchwag Brick weed to get it to look like more .... I sat there and watched my buds at the time do it I didn't buy that crap from them hee hee I got the good stuff ... but I know of at least 2 totally unrealted people doing that to make the bag look bigger ... I remember buying brick weed that was so hard I had to use a hammer (just kidding) but you'll know the type I'm talking about ... pop a bud in a vegatable steamer or soemthign and it will reabsorb the water and be fuller and actaully weigh a little more at that point as well .. so technically your extra weight is coming from water


I think anyone with a compost bin can vouch for this here ... Right on about the mold as well ... generally if you crack open the compressed buds (assuming Mexischwag) you can see white mold growing in between the buds as well I have seen this a hundred times

you're too funny.. I hope you like growing good dope, or you wouldn't be here right? man I guess people need to be careful when buying from someone they don't know. I have seen brick weed before, I have never seen anything so hard... hum? that didn't come out right... never seen weed that compacted before (better?) have you ever smoked this stuff? and does it still get you high or does the process take away from potency?

The weird thing about mexi brick weed is that after smoking good herb for a while, that stuff will lay you out. Of course it takes 2-3 blunts, and the high turns into more of a headache after an hour or so. I will never miss that stuff.
