That technique is used to make your plants grow small and bushy. I Usually cut the main tip one time, and all the other branches divvy up its growth. Remember, each tip you cut off is the beginning of a bud, so do it as seldom as possible.
Do NOT remove any leaves, just the shoots.
Yes, you cna stress your plants to hermie by doing what your doing

Sorry Virgo, not menaing to talk down to ya. Sometimes repeating the same thing over and over can get my eyes and brain in different places.
So just trimming the leaf tips, eh? I must say I have a few plants that could use this treatment as resin/crystal production is poor compared to others. Ah well, the probs of bad genetics....

..hhmmm me too SR,our strains over here in the land of Oz leave a lot to be desired!Unless we import,it seems the standard aussie seeds deliver only ever mediocre budz!! Hardly EVER is there resin an crystals to be seen on ANY leaves(even near the flowers).I have fluked a few *beauties*,as i have again this year.I am bein sent a few Early-Girl seeds for my first indoor-er,Then i reckon i will have some proper knock out gear.HOpiNg!SOOO,my point is that i have decided to take lil resin girl all the way to the end! We'll take this experiment all the way.So re-tune in 2 months an i let you know if this works. cheers V

Hello folks,
I've read about the clipping leaves in half thing in a text called either 'gold harvest' or 'green harvest'. The guy who wrote that recommends it for every leaf on every plant. There is just something I don't trust about the text though- it seems like it's been written in a hurry and the info is far too basic. It's almost as though the guy writing it thinks his audience are all stupid!

Cutting the leaves in at any part of them is BAD! This breaches the leaf, and leaves a vector for water to get out of the plant. You will get drying by the cut, and then when the leaf heals, it will work just like it did before, only with a alowe surface area with which to capture light.

I say let your plant grow guys Look at how you can improve it's growing conditions. Like adding more light, vent, ferts and or nutes. Look at the soil. That's where you can improve the plant. It's all in the roots (and light)
(does this make sence to anyone?? )

sorry

i have read on previous posts in the flowering section that it was ok to trim or cut some leaves off if they are blocking the light to the buds,i have cut off very few leaves but i have trimmed a lot of leaves half way back but i only trim every 2 days or so,do you think i should stop doing this?

I would say NEVER cut off a green fan leaf. The more leaf surface area you have and the closer it is to the light the more productive your leaves will be overall. Just grow your plants shorter to maximize light penetration
