Read the post about puttin sugar in with water about 1 week prior to harvest.Now,you added that you do this only with hydro at the moment...I'm in soil,outdoors an flower day #9.Also,in the ground..with 3 in pots,does that make a diff? (bein in pots) to how?if i can do it coz i'd like to try the mint also,at least on one. cheers an thanx V34

Yeah, so I am not a believer in the flavord buds thing. I just haven't ever seen anyone that has pulled it off. Also, mint has a tendency to crystalize in your lungs, just so you know. I do the sugar thing in hydro to clear out the chemical fertilizers (although after meeting organic here, I have switched to hydro-organic, so I may not do it this time.) The idea is that the sugar is available for the plant to metabolize for the last week or so. That way it can stay alive with no ferts, and even breaks down some proteins from the fan leaves to provide the N it needs to make new proteins. That way all residual chem. ferts are used up, so you don't taste them.
I am not sure how to do this in soil, outdoors. I would say that you could add sugar water to the soil, but they would still be able to get nutes, so I am not sure.
