![]() ![]() ![]() | I may have had a stupid thought..... i wuz tinkin to meself, WHAT IF i kept my flourecent lights ( or my 150w hps) on for 24hrs non stop during the entire veg stage, and during this period, i alternated my 400w mh on a 6 on/6 off cycle. Would the plants maintian an increased growth rate? Has anybody ever tried this?

I thought about that for a while this weekend, and looked at some old papers. The average time that a plant in nature gets good quality sunlight is pretty low compared to the day length. In the fall it is like 6 hours a day of good quality light, probably 12 for the summer. Anyway, if you left the fluorescents on 18/6, they would be inhibiting flowering, and then you could have the HID on for 12/12 all the time. The plants shouldn't grow any different, as they max out on photosynthesis anyway. Depending on your air quality, anyway. | ||
